Hello all,

My name Is Jon Koperniak and I am from the SW subs of Chicago. Grundy County. I look forward to learning and discussing the ins and outs of the detailing world. I have had an interest in cars since I was 10 and love to detail them.

One of the biggest goals I would like to achieve is to be able to preform a professional detail from start to finish. I have learned in the last couple days that I have a lot to learn on this subject.

My first step is going to be to purchase some kind of polisher. I have been reading a lot about the Flex 3401 and the PC 7424xp. Problem is the more I read the more I get confused. If anyone has any suggestions which route would be better for beginners that would be greatly appreciated. Also i’ve noticed that each one of these comes in a number of kits. Again any advice or direction here would be awesome.

Thanks in advance for all the advice, I’m glad to be a member.

Welcome to AGO! My advise is get the Griots. The PC is underpowered, and the flex can't take advantage of the Meg's MF system.

welcome jon! used to live in barrington but hated the snow. youll love the forum and learn a bunch. try to buy as much as you can from ag as they sponsor the forum and their pricing is very competitive.
