My registration was accepted! Hey all, I'm from the northeast and have suffered through painful winters in the past. This year I plan on getting through it, with a little help from here... or a lot of help.

I own an 2011 BLACK Subaru STi (I know, bad move, black car in Maine)
purchased back in April, attempted my first detail in June- purchased a PC DA polisher, a bunch of microfiber towels, foam pads and some meguairs ultimate polish/wax. It was okay, but after lurking here for a while, I realized how much better it could be.

Have a few bucks to spend and was looking to go this route:

Klasse AIO polish
Klasse sealant/glaze vs. Wolfgang sealant 3.0 vs. Poorboy's black hole glaze
and finish up with P21s carnauba wax or Collinite 845 (for the winter?)

I have no clue what I'm doing, hopefully I'll figure it out, soon enough!
btw, this site is awesome

Welcome to this awesome site from a fellow New Englander.

Many of us us good old Collinite's Insulator Wax no. 845 to keep the winter weather off our vehicles.

how to you apply ultima paint guard plus? is it like a final step, after you've done all else (ie; after applying the wax)?
