Hi everyone! :righton:

I'm new here and trying to learn as much as I can. I just acquired a very nice Cobra and want to keep it all nice and clean.

I need help / recommendations for car wash products to wax/polish, etc. The car is rio red is that makes any difference?

Thanks in advance!

-Tim

Wow overwhelming response. I did take a shower, ya know? :-)

Welcome to the forum! And PS Souveran looks great on Red!!!

Welcome. Man, this is a wide open question. Tons of nice products at various price points. Search feature is your friend. Several buckets to fill.

Washing/Drying: Research the topic but any good car wash such as DP is good. Look for 2 Bucket Method instructions. Drying/washing/removing wax is Microfiber all the way for me. Guzzlers excellent. Many use leaf or other blowers to dry.

Polishing: Requires polishing machine and polishes themselves. Flex/Menz my fav and many like PC/Menz and various other polishes. Again research for results on your type car finish. Price point is again very important in this category.

Waxes: Price no object Souveran or Fuzion. Again research. Others available that are very good at lower price point.

Tire: Depends on finish you like.

Search the various categories and come back with some specific product questions and I'm sure you will get many more responses.

Good luck, sounds like you picked up a killer car!

Welcome to the forums! Let's see your terminator!

Wish I had a termi and this one will have to suffice

Wow thank you very much that's exactly the type of information that I'm looking for. I don't mind doing research but I'd like to cut through the bias and just purchase some products to get started. A picture of my car is above and I'd like to get a better understanding of how to maintain it.

Thanks.

I thought you had a termi too lol. Where abouts in MD are you at?

Dumb question. Is PS Souveran a brand name or an actual product?

Somewhere on the forums is a cheat-sheet for abbreviations. Find it cause I was lost for several days while trying to figure out all the abb. Its like learning another language. :D

PS is Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax.

Welcome to AGO
There are so many products to choose from that all work great I think it realy comes down to a lot of personal opinion
Opt No Rinse (so many different uses)
Polishes: Meguiars (83, 82, 80), Prima Swirl, Danase Swirl Abolishers, hear lots of postives here about the Wolfgang Duo
Glaze: Danase Wet Glaze, Prima Amigo
Sealants/Wax: Duragloss 105 and 111, FK1 Hi Temp 1000p, Pinnacle Souvaren (paste or liquid), Prima Epic, Meg NXT 2.0

I have been using the wolfgang sealent 3.0 and topping it with a layer of pinnacle souveran or pinnacle sig series II paste i also suggest the DP car wash and a porter cable with either merzerna or XMT compounds and glazes I also suggest the Optinium interior dressing in the gallon jug it is great

I know there are kits out there but do any of you fine folk have specific recommendations for me? I'm going to pickup a PC7424 this week but suspect that I'll need to learn how to
properly use it before tearing the paint up :D

Thanks.
