Greetings all, new to the site and wanting to introduce myself. My name is Frank and I am a car guy. I have a 90 GT Mustang Conv., 02 Mustang GT, 01 F150 Lightning and a 98 f150 4x4. I'm always looking for better ways to detail these cars, found out about this site through a friend and thought I'd give it a try. He loaned me his pc 7424 and now I have to have one. Been checking them out but not sure where to start when it comes to pads and polishes, alot to take in. The lightning and the 02 GT are both show vehicles and the ones that are detailed the most. What do you guys recomend as far as pads and polishes. Thanks for any advice.
 
Welcome. I lived in Moyock and Aydlett for a few years.

Lake Country pads + Optimum and Menzerna polishes usually do the trick for me. I sometimes crack open some Meguiar's polishes.

Anything from Pinnacle, Wolfgang as for Pads, Lake Country, Get a complete set ( 2 of each color), great choice on the PC 7424 Welcome to the Family !!:cheers:

PC, 4" Lake Country Pads in Oranage (4), white (4), green (4), black (2) and blue (2). Polishes Prima Swirl, Meguiars 105, Optimum polish.
 
Thanks all, Been into cars for a long time and never used a power buffer. Thanks for all the advice, I'll be ordering soon. I take it the smaller pads work best. Do you guys use the quick connect or the hook and loop? Thanks again.
 
I tell ya what, the Menzerna Cerami-Clear kit with the Porter Cable is hard to beat. Comes with SIP and PO106FA with all the right pads and a Purple Foamed Wool Pad
