I would use 5.5" flat pads + the 4" pads. Orange for compounding, white for polishing, grey for finishing and blue/red for waxing or sealant application. For a noobie, I would go with the Wolfgang twins. For more serious correction, the Megs 105/205 combo can't be beat. BTW welcome to AG.:buffing:

Don't get the 6.5" pads, get 5.5". Call AG and ask them if you can have 5.5" in your kit instead of the 6.5". If not built up a package to include 5.5" pads instead. When I first started I got 6.5" pads and have since given them away. 5.5" pads correct a lot better w/ a PC. Also like Rsurfer has saild the Wolfgang TSR and FG are great for starting out and for more serious correction, the Megs 105/205 combo can't be beat. Also :welcome:

I got the same kit this past week. I went with the wolfgang twins based on recommendations here. I haven't gotten a chance to go try out all my new toys yet but soon this snow has to go away.
