Hello to all:
First time post here. When you wash your vehicles, do you guys still use the 2 bucket wash method even though you have the grit guard?

thanks,

It certainly wouldn't hurt to do so. It isn't like it takes that much more effort. I only dropped the 2 buckets when I got my foam gun. But I still have my GG in the bucket.

Grit Guard and ShMiTT for me.

Always "Foam gun" and High presure water before i wash the car.

I use a ShMitt also. Definitely one of the best things I have bought from AG.

I don't have the foam gun, but I certainly plan to continue using the 2 bucket method along with the grit guard. Maybe I should consider the foam gun also though.

1 foam gun, one bucket, and a very soft mitt.

:iagree:
unless you vehicle is very dirty (like after a long trip, or you haven't washed it for a month) - just use one bucket, a foam gun, and a very soft mitt.
Sheepskin mitt, and ShMiTT are my favorites. I usually couple it up with Poorboy's suds, or Dp xtreme foam formula.

Good luck.

I do since not having a foam gun, I I always use the two buckets with a grit guard. dirt always to some amount carries over into your good water and the grit guard helps!

Thanks everyone for the replies. The DP xtreme foam seems to be favorite here. Is it used for foam guns only or can you bucket wash with it also?

you could bucket wash with it ... but I highly suggest Poorboys Suds for general bucket washing.

Before purchasing a foam gun, I'd use two buckets, both with grit guards and wash with sea sponge. Now, using the foam gun, I just use one rinse bucket with a grit guard and wash with the sea sponge.

I intially was using the foam gun as a sort of pre-wash, then washing using 2-buckets. It began seeming like overkill, so I've since just begun using the foam gun/1 rinse bucket method. Works well.
