Mike - Thank you for reaching out personally. I'm buried at work today (I know you know the feeling), but I'll touch base soon.

Keeping it brief - I'm sure you didn't mean any ill will with your wording, was just surprised you didn't take the more widely accepted name.

Thought this was an interesting read:

Naming the new coronavirus – why taking Wuhan out of the picture matters

Cheers - John

Well historically viruses have been labeled by their place of origin but I apologize, I should have referred to it as the accepted name, Covid19 and I've edited my post to reflect this.

But it is true, we've been busy since the pandemic hit the U.S. and even the world.

:)
I understand unc Mike but I almost had to hire myself as your PR person for a min lol

oh dang... Glad I didn't laugh too loud. My office is rather quiet right now. (Actually, it always is)

Oh man. I really needed the laugh. One of them days. Thanks ClearVue

As Mike stated alot of virus are names from Countries, cities or regions where the started.

Don’t personally agree with doing that (CDC and WHO have policies against). The problem is some people will develop prejudices against a race in where it started as we have seen flare up in the U.S.

I would say though in current state of race issues in the US it is a sensitive issue and agree that their are better names to call it.
