Not new to the car care pursuit, but once again trying to make my passion my profession. I've been cleaning cars and engines and generally rubbing about since I was about 12. My brother and I had a yacht detailing business for about a year till he hurt his back. Fast forward some 12 years and I'm ready to get back to it again! Thie time with the right tools and I'm going to focus on cars. I'm getting ready to order a Flex xc3401vrg. After much research this seems to be a good choice. I'm not sure what polishes to go with. So far I've been getting by with retail purchases of Mcguires products. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've very much enjoyed the comments and suggestions on this site. I hope to constructively contribute soon. By the way, I live in Jacksonville, Fl and I'm 60 yrs old drive a 98 Boxster.

You need to know what kind of paint correction you plan on doing and go from there.AG carries so many starter kits you will spend plenty of time in there online store.You also may consider driving down too detail fest in March

Hey Pete. Like Harley said, check out some of the Flex combos. You've probably came across Menzerna on here...it's a very high quality product that gives great results. Megs M105/205 is another great combo as well. I'm in Tallahassee if you ever want to take a trip I'd be happy to help you out.

Welcome to AG. As far as polishes Meguiars 105 and 205, Menzerna lineup from their compound to final polish
