Just discovered this awkward looking polisher browsing around the net. Says it produces swirl free and its non marring on paint and gelcoat. Suppose to improve job efficiency by up to 50%. Mostly used in large RV's and mega yachts. Any body ever hear or use one of these before

Interesting.... seems like it would be a bear to control and would function more like a rotary. I like the sling guard there so that's telling.

If it didn't work all that great, it would make a killer toilet paper dispenser.

Had the inventor and a sales rep for the BuffPro visit use back in 2010, wrote a little thread about it here...

Mystery Machine

Read post #3 and #7

Keep in mind things change, it's possible they have a more dialed in pad and chemical system. At the time however, it was leaving a haze in the clearcoated black rental car we had on hand.

Point being that seems to escape some people is this,

If a pad, product or process is leaving haze on a black or dark colored CLEARCOATED car then it's likely leaving a haze on all clearcoated cars it's just on light colored cars you're eyes cannot see the haze. Or at least see it easily.

Again, that was three years ago and we all know more and better pads and abrasive technology has been introduced that might have improved this tool/buffing approach.

Polishes like the below with the right pad on this tool might produce acceptable results...

Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish
Sonax Nano Polish
Sonax Perfect Finish
Optimum Finish Polish
Menzerna SF 4000
Menzerna SF 4500
Wolfgang Finishing Glaze
Blackfire SRC Polish

I'd have to do some more testing on multiple surfaces to really know.

:)

Yeah. I posted a video of a guy using it here a while ago. I see how it would be practical for a car. Maybe a 747.

There website says they have multiple pads, from comp to finishing, even sanding, with there own line of polishes and sealants. At almost 13lbs you better have strong, your guaranteed to be sore after a days work

If I recall correctly, the guy I saw using it was using it on some type of pivot point. He was using it on a hood.

I don't know how you could possibly use it on small panels and such. I posted the video here, but don't know what it was under to find it.

I just checked that link its actually $1750, not $750. I'll take 2 just incase one falls in the water.

They have micro-mesh sandpaper form 1500-12000 grit.
