I am very happy to have found a forum and website that has such in depth information about the proper measures to take good care of your car. My name is Nick and live in San Francisco, CA. Just bought a brand new 2011 Mazda 3 sport hatchback with a beautiful white satin pearl color. I am into cars a lot and love to take good care of them. So it is important to make sure I do it the right way and I think this forum and website will help me with that. I've been perusing around this forum and website looking at videos and reading threads, and realized there is a TON of information, to the point where it is a little overwhelming at first. If someone would be nice enough to direct me to the proper forum category to post questions about washing/waxing your car by yourself, I would appreciate it. I am curious to know the steps on what to do to take care of the car (obviously washing and drying first, but from there I see a bunch of information such as claying, polishing, waxing, quick detailing...etc not to mention all the brands...kind of a lot).

Hi Nick,

We strive to make sure this detailing forum offers the best how-to information on any detailing discussion forum. In-depth, complete and helpful. You won't find replies from our members that are simple, one-liners or PM me, or use the search button. :D

Good idea on your part as that way you're questions will get more replies. I moved a post out of here today with zero replies and already the forum member is getting help...

The Detailing 101 forum which is a catch-all forum for any kind of question.
