I still get goosepimples looking and touching high dollar exotics and 60's muscle cars. That said, you must also control yourself, value your passengers, and realize you are NEVER completely in control. I am sure he was horsing around, but it could be something a simple as a Firestone tire blowing (not like that never happened before). I truly hope for the best, and I hope he learned from this and hasnt harmed his passenger for life.[/quote
Scott, I love fast cars and going very fast as much as anyone and a lot more then most. But there is a time and a place to do it. Safety should always be you biggest concern. That's one reason I usually do it on the track. You can change your life or someone's else's life in an instant. From what I understand (and correct me if I'm wrong) he was racing on a city street through downtown Clearwater. Someone's kids or someones wife could have been in the car's path when he lost control. Something like this does not usually hit home unless it was someone you know and worst yet someone in your family who gets hurt or killed.

I wont however lie and say I never took a street race, or did a super burnout in a neighborhood and thus could have ended in a similar tradgedy.
I dont agree that just because daddy is rich, was the result of all trouble. I have seen more than few spectators harmed by 10 year old pieces of crap doing the same thing. I truly hope it is a lesson learned, and one that stays with him forever.

i worked for everything i have and i respect my things because of it, but i bet you i push my car harder than hogan does. only thing is i know when and where its alright to push it,and i feel im probably more experienced behind the wheel, plus his supra will go much faster in a straight line than me of course
but anyways id just like to say that ive been to some very high speeds and never come close to losing control for no reason. at those speeds your pumping so much adrenaline, your hands are glued to that wheel. cars dont just fly off the road because you hit a high speed, something happened that made his car swerve.
