Night detailing

my neighbors would call the cops or the homeowners association to banish me from the 'hood

all the time its to hot alot of the time down here in se fl and if theres no wind its night time buffing here we come lol up side know one coming in to bs .

Do almost all my polishing work at night. The sun here is too brutal to wash the car while it's still up. The only way I can get a totally waterspot free wash, even with an inline filter, is to wash at night. Best time is right after the sun dips below the closest tree line so I have a little residual daylight to work with. Polishing almost always happens at night in the garage with halogens. Then finishing work the next morning.

I do most of my car work at night. I rarely even wash it until after 5 or 6PM. I'm usually out there in the spring at 1 or 2AM polishing or adding a coat of sealant. It's cooler then too.

The humidity is too harsh here, and the mosquito's too bitey.:surrender:

I'm a night type of person! Love polishing at night and also have done many activities on my car at night :) Including the header install on my car, and exhaust work lol. Tend to start projects around 9 or so.....not so sure the neighbors love me as much as they used to

Most of my jobs are done at night into early morning.

I'm off work on the weekends and do my details then. Between needing to take my girls to swimming lessons, soccer and who-knows-what-else, I end up having to work late both Friday and Saturday night to get enough time in to complete the job. You could grow plants in my garage with the lighting I have so that's not a problem. I do lower the music however. I normally go to about 1 or 2 am.

I have some roll up door screens for my garage doors. Does a pretty decent job keeping the bugs out. They do love my bright lights.

Does this count? We do it all in the Dark. Bright work , interior you name it. Battling the elements not to mention mosquito's sucks !!!Both the humidity and mosquito's is as bad as you can get here !!! :buffing:

I did most of my detail's at night / at my ex shop in city of industry. Ca

sometime's you came with client's that want their car done first thing in the morning

working close door's / with an ac/dc music. It's just what you need to work

you can do a lot of stuff at night / and leave the car almost ready for the morning

ofcourse with good lightning!!!

Started @ 2:10 this morning. Been going ever since. I'm tired now, good night :dig:

How do your neighbors not hate you guys? I would wash, but never dream of running a machine at night.

Didn't have neighbors it was a wherehouse. It was located at the end of the rest.

Yup, after the kids are in bed.

i have detailed 3 cars in a day,now that its getting hotter,1 or 2 a day. to me nights and weekends are my me time, and i dont do much nite or weekends any more. its overtime, and i get paid extra for that time most folks understand this. family first

I usually wash and clay at night, but I would never run a buffer since my neighbors would be able to hear it, even if I were in my garage with the door closed.

I love detailing at night, and will usually spend all night until sunrise to do so. There's not way I could do it during the day, too fricken hot, plus at night things are just more quiet and I can focus much better
