Hey everyone I know we had a thread about this a few weeks ago. Is anyone finding a Wii in your area? My sister-in-law just let me know they are getting 20 in at a local store. The store opens at 8:00 and I said I would go stand in line at 5:30 or 6:00 for her. After my Blackfriday experience I have a feeling there will be more than 20 people in line by then. Are these things that popular everywhere?

unavailable around here as well. No one knows when they are getting them in, and if they do, they are unsure on how many they are getting. Most say they are from a lone company, and they ship however many they want to. All of the places around here have waiting lists and such.

Wifes Step-Dad is looking to buy 2 for our kids. One for our home and one for His, when the kids come to visit....

My sister-in-law called back to let me know the store manager said 4 people have told him they will be sleeping in the parking lot. hehehehe What have I agreed to do? heheheheh :D

I stood in line last year the day they came out at 6:00 AM and was the first person in line NOT to get one. Still don't have one...it's amazing that they haven't been able to keep up with demand even after being out for one year! I think they have sold more than 10 million worldwide so far with no sign of slowing down...

The sweat shops are working overtime to keep up with our gaming needs.... lol

that's sad lol.

It's so popular over in southern Cali too... but stores are piled with Xbox 360s, DS Lite's, and PS3's! Oh and the slim PS2 lol

Its no where to be found around here. My wife and I would love to get one. One of our vendors at work sells them, and they don't even have any available. The shipments they have coming in are already allocated. I even have my brothers looking out up in NC.

Wish I had known. The wife bought one on Black Friday for our 10 year old daughter.Waited in line for hours. I was doing a car inside. Good Luck. They go fast and people will came out all night for it! (Wii) will be playing with it on Christmas!

I bought my off of E-bay, I got tired of waiting in line and missing out. Sometimes they'd have 10 and sometimes they'd have 3, so you never knew where in line the cut-off was. So, I paid an extra 50.00 and bought it online.

My co-worker went to a local gaming store and asked about one for his son and got the same line. They didn't know if/when they would get any in and if/when they did they didn't know how many. So just for kicks and giggles he walked down to the Wal-Mart and went back to the electronics section and there were 8 of them just sitting there. He walked over picked one up and bought it. Talk about luck!

I just got back with no luck! I showed up at 6:00 and the store had passed out tickets some time in the middle of the night. There had been people camped out since 7:00 pm. When it started to rain in the middle of the night the store passed out tickets so people could wait in there cars. hehehehe :D What was I thinking. One lady came down from Columbus (about an hour away) she had been there since 10:00. People had tents and everything! Crazy I tell ya! heheheheh :D

I was trying to get one for my wifes birthday. For the first week I tried FM, Walmart, Best Buy and Circuit City everyday, then just Fred Myer everyday for the next week. When her birthday came around I just gave her Zelda for Wii and said the system was coming, two days after her birthday a guy at FM said they were coming in tomorrow. I didn't wait in line, just got there early in the morning and got the last one. Still every time I go to Fred Myer I look to see if they are on the shelf and have never seen one.

I can't believe they are so popular still, we have only played ours a few times in the 6 months we have owned it. It's not so much a gaming console as a party console. What I mean by that is, the games and graphics really suck, but party games like Wii Sports, Super Monkey Ball, and Mario Party are fun to play when you have guests over. I bought a bunch of legacy Nintendo games from the Wii store so those are fun, but you can't copy them to external storage and the HD is too small.

When I bought my PS3 I just walked right in and paid my money. Other than sports and fighting games pickings are still slim for it but I got Dirt and I am waiting for Gran Turismo 5 and Resident Evil 5 to come out. Also got the remote control and use it now as a DVD/Blu-Ray player more than gaming. The PS3 Six Axxis controller is actually a motion controller just like the Wii and there are lots of games coming out now to support it.

Took me 6 weeks of calling everyday at my local Gamestop to get one. Best system ever by far! I love downloading all of the old school games too.

Well worth the wait for it.

Four games that will make me want a PS3 is Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo 5, Resident Evil 5, and GTA IV!

So Twinkles are you getting one from Lady L?
hehehe I have not heard back from her. I hope so! My poor sister-in-law is going nuts trying to find one. It is the only thing my nephew has asked for. She keeps asking him what else he wants and he just say... nothing Santa is going to get me a Wii. Thats all I want.

Our Wii was played today for the first time in ~6 months. Having a PS3 with Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Call of Duty 4 and some others has brought it into its own. We watch Blu-Rays as a bonus.:D
