Nissan gtr navigation help

Looks a lot better after the detail.Do what you feel is right.I think it was previously damaged.Did his warranty expire?

Thanks man. Yes the car came out great both interior and exterior he was very pleased with the cleaning. He called me and said there was something wrong with the navigation and I had no clue what had happened until he pointed it out. I worked on the leather seats and carpets while my partner got the dash and plastic. We do not spray APC on the dash nor any glass screens but on the microfiber itself. Also, we clean the odometer and the navigation screen at the end using water diluted with sonax glass cleaner sprayed on a microfiber towel. So I was confused how we could have caused damaged the navigation screen. First, I thought it was condensation, but after looking at before pictures, I think it was a damaged caused via car wash/dealership detailers. This is my first time I have been in this type of situation...

You can clearly see the damage is already present in the before pics. He probably just never noticed how bad it was because it has been covered in a thick layer of dust this whole time.

yes if you look closely on the before pic you can see the 2 halos.now that it's all clean the also are noticeable.I wouldn't give him a dime or answer his calls.

I completely agree with the others on this thread that the damage was there before:

The areas I circled have a "browner" tint to them and I think it's only showing up faintly in the first picture because of the following reasons:

1. The screen is covered in dust
2. Flash from a light or camera is causing additional glare on the screen

If those two factors were not in play you would be able to see those spots clear as day.

Whatever happened to the screen was NOT because of what you did it seems.

Showed the client the pictures of the before and he was shocked that he did not realize the damage. He was very apologetic! Lesson learn, always inspect the car in direct sunlight before working on a car. This car was delivered to me in the evening so I really could not tell the screen was defected, also the car being less then a year old. My credibility as a detailer almost went down the drain until the proof via pictures. Always inspect and take before pictures before working on a car. Also thanks guys I appreciate support! I really mean it.
Sincerly,
Sam

Very nice approach to the before and after pics and relating that to the customer. Although I think he was trying to get over on you,I could be wrong but it's all ended nicely for you which is great.
