I would like to know as well how you restore the hood. When the hood is oxidized like that how did you restore it? Did you use the PFW with M105 to restore the hood?

Yes mate...But it was too hard to reach the wanted results...I don't know if it was CC ol GC on it to be honest....But it took me a lot of time....
 
What were you using? DA or Rotary? Also at what speed were you using with the hood since you didn't know if it was CC or GC

For this reson i used my UDM on speed 5-6 with PFW 3,5''.I was afraid to use rotary polisher on the hood....BTW is it safe to use a rotary polisher on CF hood??
 
what did you use to restore the carbon fiber hood?
you should be fine running a rotary polisher on carbon fiber.
I used M105 on PFW 3,5'' on UDM....It was the first time that i was restoring an unpainted CF hood so i had worries about using a rotary polisher.....
I worked on speeds 5-6
