At least for now, Navistar shut down the Powerstroke plant. Brought one of the family boats out with uncles F-250, towing out to Bradenton for upcomming races. He was talking about the new trucks and was going to order one and the dealer told him he better hurry as the last shipment of diesel HD Fords was comming, there was a tiff between Navistar and Fiord where I think Ford sued Navistar for some breach of contract about not helping with the warrenty repairs on the last 6.0 Powerstroke that was plagued with issues in the beginning.

Searched online and Found this, Navistar basically said FU and won't be supplying the new engines to Ford for now:

im a big ford guy and yes i heard this .it does have to do with international not paying for d for warrentee issues for the early 6.0 trucks.im sure they will work out there differences .if not ford is going to have to look someware else for there diesels engines.

My buddy just bought an F-250 a few days ago. The dealership "detailed" it for him. It looked alright from about 20 feet away until I pointed all the holograms out to him. He was RILED UP!!!

when i picked up my 2006 f350 i forgot to tell the dealership not to wash it or prep it. they did a terrible job !!on it let me tell you they had tire shine on half of the front tire. i had to take the truck home and instead of taking it out for a ride i was busy cleaning it.the the delaer ship told me i could take it back one day for a detail .i was like naaa no thanks .i got enough swirlss:confused:

wow this sucks, i wonder who will be chosen for the new manufacture...

i belong to a ford diesel site and they say ford might have to eventually make there own diesel. what would be awesome is if they went with a cat diesel motor .but then they would want like 70 grand for a pick up . who knows what is going to happen all i know is .im not going to be in the market any time soon i have to diesels pick ups and plan on keeping them for a while

Just read something where the court forced Navistar to continue shipping.

i thought i had read a while back of ford potentially moving to a cummins ?
Not sure but either way would suck to retool for a completley new engine specific to Ford, that 6.0 in the b eginning was plagued with problems, and now the 6.4 being more complex and with twin turbos I can just imagine the glitches people will have. Dodge has the new 6.7 in their cab chassis trucks right now of which will be in the new HD trucks, really nothing more then a bored and stroked 5.9 Cummins so betting it will still be rock steady reliable.

Friend still has his lifted 03' Cummins, and just ordered the new GMC 3500 full loaded etc, new interior is really nice but not sure of the looks yet, I like the previous GM truck deisgn better. But the Duramax and Allison tranny is a great combo.
