We just had the wifes X3 done up with a clear bra (Suntek) and the installer said not to use wax at all. He said to only use silicone sealant/sprays on it. The wax will build up and dry out the film.

Any truth to that? I use the Balckfire wet diamond polymer on it after every wash or when I need to wipe something off of it.

I tried searching, but couldn't find any good info on proper PPF care.

TIA!

There is no issue with applying a wax. I would recommend however to apply a coating over it though

Like a sealant before the wax or you mean coat the wax? Pls elaborate

Yes sealant first then wax. I've never heard of wax drying out film but stranger thing are possible I guess. I like the suggestion check with the manufacturer.

It would be best to use something like Opti-Seal so it won't get residue on the seams. Ideally you'd want to use a coating.

No Waxes.
These are the products that
I use on all Brands of PPF:

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. The cleaner and sealant is self explanatory, but what is the tar remover for? A pre-treatment for the cleaner or for the heavy residue? I use the 1Z bug wash and like it very much.

Also, any issues with claying or using the buffer?
