Noob and a few stubborn swirls

Hello all and thanks for all the great info. I purchased I new 370z magma red in color a few months ago. The dealer was nice enough to leave some swirl marks for me to take care of. After reading and watching countless hours of how to best take care of this I purchased a PC a variety of pads and sizes as well as M105, M205, ultimate compound, ultimate polish. I was able to remove a vast majority of these swirls with a couple of stubborn ones lingering. They are on the back between the bottom of the spoiler and where the hatch opens. I have gone as far as trying a 3401 with an orange hex pad and m105, still they stick out like a sore thumb when out in the sun. What am I missing? Should I try a yellow cutting pad next? Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
 
you are using the correct material and tools you got me on this one.Maybe some pic,my acct has a black one i do his car on the arm it's hard paint.Did you clay it first ,if not the pad can be skimming over contaminates and not 100 percent on the paint.
 
How many times did you try?

They are obviously a little deeper than the rest of the swirls, so might require a few attempts before coming out.
 
Are they actually swires & not a full fledged scratch in the clear?

Can you catch them with a finger nail?

I have seen several times where it doesn't appear to be a swirl, or scratch, but more so as a 'groove' in the clear.

Can you post some photos? I wouldn't keep going at this area until you determine what the defect actually is. There isn't much clear coat on cars from the factory. Just how many passes have you made on this area?
 
Pics would help... otherwise we are playing pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey... and you may not get the best advice.
 
Definitely can't catch a nail on it. I probably have done 6-8 passes in total. I will snap a couple pictures a little later this morning.

Looks like the compound you used in that area marred the paint a little. A finishing polish like UP or M205 should take care of that. Perhaps even a cleaner-wax, as suggested above.
 
HD speed would be a filler,stuff is real good though it's plum crazy from Malco pretty much.
