If you can not find his address ....have a friend call for a detail and wanting a estimate..have him show up and you waiting....

It was great that you helped him out....I commend you..and you will in some time be rewarded for your great deed to help one in need..on the other hand he will be rewarded also for his slimy acts...may his groin be infested with the fleas of 1000 camels....

Good Heart you guys had to help him out....it will eat him inside forever....especially when he grows up to be a man

Al

We could always make sure that the cops or the BBB know that he is using stolen goods to run a business.

Thoughts?

Filing fee in Dallas for small claims court looks to be $12. Possibly since he is refusing to return the items the police can go with you to his residence to recover the items. You can also picket on public property. There are laws about what you can say and I'm not familiar with them.

This is crazy he has your PC Reddwarf and a brand new one I sent him as well. Why on earth would he need two and still continue to blow you off.... I'm guessing he sold one of ours to get some cash and the others in use. I gave the poor guy a black and white/yellow scmitt, mulitple compounds / polishes, bug sponge, PC7336sp NIB... I'm out about $175 if you wanna break it down.

This sucks, I'm sorry to hear that he didn't show once again. He kinda had that conartist type story when I chatted with him the first time.

Anyways, good luck reddwarf and if you wanna claim 2 PC's haven't been returned feel free :)

Man, ehuth1 that makes me want to scream "You've got to be kidding", but I know that you're not. That's a lot of $$$ that you invested in a fellow members welfare. Good for you to provide that kind of help to what you thought was a member in need. Only $45 here but that's not why I feel betrayed.

This has become so disheartening. I too sent Ken products, towels, applicators, etc. I never had a second thought when I offered to send him items. Whenever I'm able to help someone out, I will. As many here have posted, they too seem to have the same motto.

Not sure if this is of importance, but when I first sent him the products, they were mailed via USPS Priority Mail with a tracking number (which I PM'd to Ken). A week later, the package was returned to me with a handwritten note on the front of the package that the apartment was vacant. In the meantime, I contacted Ken to let him know the USPS webpage said the item was undeliverable. He said he could not understand why as his wife was home all day and that the following day, she would go to the post office with the tracking number. After not hearing from him, a few days later I inquired as to whether or not she went to the post office and he said there was no package. I offered to send the package again, and this time, he asked that I send it via UPS. I shipped it the same day I received the USPS package. Again, I sent him the tracking number and when days passed and I did not hear from him, and the package had been accepted, I contacted him to make sure he did indeed receive it. He replied that he received it and that was the last I heard from him. I did request that he keep me (and the forum) updated, but again, no response.

You know, I hope this isolated incident doesn't deter people from helping others in need. This is always a chance we take, and out of the goodness of our hearts, we do what we feel is the right thing to do.

That is too bad he has to be a person like this,
you know something is wrong when you get ignored.
From reading the post from the site below I think
you guys give him everything he needed to get started
from two of his post my thoughts he is a habitual liar.

He is Boatwaxer on this forum : Texas Fishing Forum: I detail autos and boats!!!! I am mobile

You guys that sent stuff I think all are awesome people ! :)

Reddwarf or I should bomb that thread with "Boatwaxer is using stolen equipment to perfect you guys boats..." I'm not like that, but did you read the excuses that Ken made for the whole 6-8 customers that wanted boat detailing. The guy could've made $1000+ with all those quotes. I bet he'll never show his face here again nor sign on with his screen name. I just can't believe he had the nerve to say "With the money, I'm going to buy some new equipment??" WTH !!! You have two PC's and buttload of goodies from everyone here @ AG.

I'm kinda getting HOT now.

I did not mean to make you angry, just thought you would
like to know what is going on with him...
Remember you guys are the better and I am sure
this is not the first time for this...

The one guy says he called the day before and buffer was broke
then he says death in the family brother was covering would`nt brother
be with family? And yes going to buy new equipment I thought that was
a good one !

I wonder how many of those nice folks on the fishing forum would be interested in reading this thread. If you are having trouble looking up his address using his name or phone numbers possibly Ken is short for Kenneth or Kevin. Also if the Mrs name is known that could be of some help. Sometimes you can get lucky and find peoples info on non related things. I once had trouble with a cell phone company. Basically a brand new phone was cutting off. It happened as soon as I got home from the store I bought it from. I returned to the store the next mornng and an employee took the phone into the back and returned a few minutes later saying I got it wet. They has a moisture indicator on their fingertip. Whether they tampered with it or the phone got wet before I bought it I don't know. I didn't care and just wanted a replacement. They said they couldn't replace it because it got wet but they could replace it using my insurance plan on the phone. I was fine with that until they told me I'd have to pay a $35 deductible. We argued and they were not going to change their minds. When I got home I looked up the company info and found the board of directors. I search their names and found the Vice Presidents number on a college alumni related page. I left him a message and he called me back but got my machine. I went back to the store and spoke with the manager and let him know I had spoke to John Doe who is your company VP. Here is his phone number if you would like to confirm it but before I call him back I thought I'd see if we could fix this problem. Like magic they fixed the problem.

Sad, really sad. He's a Flake. And I'll tell you how big of a flake. He brings his son into his scam "I want to beat him up daddy". Let him live with his deeds. Thanks for exposing this flake Rddwarf. His son will be bucking the odds not to grow up the same way. Like I said SAD.

O.K folks have signed up and made the situation know and he has been had. There is no need to bombbard(sp?) the forums with more "He sucks" comments LOL. To bad I was about to join in the bashing fest lol.

Wow, I look back at this thread and it's all turned over. I wish this is all just a misunderstanding, but it does seem that ShineFX has done some AGers wrong. Of course, if someone ignores your calls, they don't wanna talk to you. It COULD be he's super dooper busy, but it's not hard to make a QUICK follow up, so that's not even it. He didn't even apologize or give an excuse to Reddwarf, let alone was a no show.

All of you AGers that tried to help this guy out, you all are awesome. I'm sure all of you will get great karma in return, and he (shinefx) will get what's coming. I still can't believe something like this would happen within the walls of AG, but then hey, it's the internet, and it's easy to scam people  .

Hopefully legal action can be taken...

Something strange, that link for the Texas Fishing Forum is now dead.. It worked last night but now the thread cannot be found..

Wow, a juge disappointment for all that tried lending a hand to a "fellow" member. Now that this has hit home I'm going to find it hard to trust anybody online again.

Now I am doubting the whole theft from the get go and he figured that the people here at AG would be generous and help him out while he disappears with new products... scam. Not cool at all.

I'm guessing that the whole finishing forum thread went downhill and the mods deleted it. Now I wish that his customers could be informed of his actions,,, if he has any?

I just went on that TX Fishing Forum to take a look too. Can't find that thread, but don't know if anyone noticed in the "Newest Members" section on the left side of the page. There is a newest member with the screenname, "Shine_Fx_Sucks". Guess someone found out about him.
