Not sure about Duragloss #501?

Does 601 play well with coly 845?
Works great together. One pass with 501/601 followed immediately by Colli 845 or 476 is now my standard winter prep. Here's a shot of my winter beater Olds in early January, two months after the winter prep.

Notice there's about 6-8 inches of snow in the yard. It looked good and beaded decent into April. Did the same to my wife's newer BMW. Here's a shot from early Feb. Both are outside 24/7

Thanks for the info, did you apply with da or hand?

I do 501/601 with my GG D/A. Collinte application depends on my mood at the time. 476 for me is always by machine, as a 4" Meg's pad fits inside the can. For 845, I'll do it either by hand or machine.

If your looking for durability and protection (added bonus of reflections) top the 601/501 with 601/105. The 601/105 can last up to a year and probably more. Maintain with 932 and Aqua Wax. Unless you like applying products then use what ever you feel the need for. Klasse I believe has used the 111 which may amp up reflections but I do not know the durability.

On my initial spring clean up I used all DG (#501/601, #105/601, #111/601) and the car came out great, actually went 2x's on all above products. I did apply 4x's Colinite #845 after all that (over a 2 week time) and must say it works VERY well with DG products IMO. As far as durability goes, well I'm not the one to ask for that as I layer a lot of products over time, not giving anything a chance to wear down but I'm 100% sure if you used what I used in my initial spring clean up you'd be very happy with the looks and durability!!

I'm doing my sister's car on Saturday and am using the 501/601 for the first time and had a few questions. I did do a search first but couldn't find anything so I apologize if these have been answered. The vehicle is a 2012 metallic black Buick Lacrosse. I will be using a PC7424xp with 5.5 inch white pads but I can't seem to find what speed I should be using. Is speed 4 about right? Also what is the best solvent to soak the pads in afterwards?

3.5 or 4 should be good, to a test spot and see which yields better results. I let them soak in dawn after I am done for about an hour and then rinse with hot water, but very hard to get DG501 out of pads. I too will be using 501/601 on Saturday for a detail.

After soaking in Dawn for an hour, I use Dawn Power Dissolver spray to clean the pads--best thing I've found to remove 501.

Ski....curious as to how much Dawn to how much water for your pre-soak? Thanks

Clean them with dawn. Soak them in mineral spirits for 8-12 hours. Rinse out mineral spirits, reclean with dawn and rinse well. Comes out looking new every time.

Nothing wrong with using a DA to apply DG #501, surely speeds things up and maybe cleans better but keep in mind that #501 does not correct.

Thank you all.

As for correction, not sure how bad her paint is but I won't be getting into anything like that tomorrow...

I can only imagine how well DG #501 cleans when using a DA because even by hand my mf applicator gets pretty dark.

What did you end up putting on the trim?
For some reason I can never pull out a ton of dirt onto the pad with 501. Maybe my car just doesn't get dirty enough b

I used DG 531 on trim and Adams spray sealant on the flat black portions and wheels, Meg's ASD on wells and tires. Wasn't to happy with 531 on trim, was a bit of a PIA.
