I was set on trying the Meguiar's microfiber DA set(D300 and D301) but am having a change of heart I'm looking for a polish and compound that can handle quite a bit of correction what do you guys recommend for a simple 2 step that is effective?

That is an effective 2 step that can handle heavy jobs.^ Why are having doubts?

What polisher are you working with? Are you thinking about getting the 5" or 6" microfiber pads?

I'm really just doubting the finishing ability and also the gg6 but I'll be using a 5 inch bp

D300 w/Megs DAMF is some of the best finishing capable stuff available.
When I 1st got it I did a test spot on my neighbors black Ford Expedition. This is what it looked like after just D300 on a microfiber pad. [notice the difference between the fender and the door] That paint was hammered!

I used D300 w/microfiber pads to correct this Cadillac. Paint was hard as a diamond and wouldn't respond to less aggressive methods.. D300 and straight to lsp.

I agree. D300 with the microfiber cutting pads not only corrects very well but can finish LSP ready. That is dependent on how soft or hard the paint is.

Great product but has the attendance of micro marring on different paint especially if you are not cleaning your pads often enough. just make sure you clean your pads frequently and your good.

The new BOSS Creams and pads are nice. I don't have the Perfecting Cream though

D300 w/:Microfiber disks works great on GG6. Was favorite combo with GG6 on beat up to mid beat paint. So easy to use. Can finish with something like Men 3500 on polishing pad to possibly refine a bit further. Great stuff the D300 is.
