Dang Justin!! You've got guts! I don't think I could ever do what you do. I would be too shy. You're my hero! :applause:

LOL Jen!!!
Remember, I was in the car biz for 9 years. Sold cars for 5 years and finance the other 4. This is easy for me. They don't already hate me!!!!

LOL Still, I admire your courage. I know I would be shaking in my shoes if I did what you do. But maybe they would have compassion on me after seeing how terrified I would be and give me the job out of pity. :p

I agree ^^^ I was in the car biz for 3 years. Sold Cars, then started the internet department, then went into finance..... Then I said I'm out the door !! All this when I was 20-23 now I have a gravy job w/ J&J and Auto Detailing as my dream / part time job....

Great approach. I was thinking the same thing when your opening line was "praising the owners of their nice vehicles"

I've been trying the flyer approach and recieved about 5 out of 100. I'm thinking of talking to nicer neighborhoods HOAs and see what can and can't I do to advertise. There is a some neighborhoods around me with 500+ homes in the 500's-Up. They gotta have some loot and nice vehicles :)

My neighbor's always see me out detailing my cars. Four different neighbor's keep begging me to detail their cars. They have some really nice cars like a Bentley, Porsches, Ford GT, Mercedes, BMW's. I was detailing my enclosed car trailer over the weekend and one of my neighbor's has a huge motor with a beautiful paint job. He's begging to detail it along with his BMW's. I told him I don't have the time right now but I might do it in a couple months if the price is right. He told me no problem what ever you want. There are definately a lot of people with nice cars and money who are willing to pay big $$ if you do a great job .

Man, I wish my neighbors has rides as nice as those. :) I'd detail 'em in a heartbeat.

It is 20 with wind chill of 10 and I have a couple inches of snow. This of course will mean our road departments will dump ungodly amounts of salt on our roadways. In PA our roads are white due to the amount salt.

I'm jealous....my kids are in sunny and warm Florida for a couple days.

FloridaNative, I love detailing cars especially nice cars. I might take some of them up on it in a few months if the price is right. I have been working 7 days a week for a while and I have about 2 more months of it. After that I going to take the rest of the year off. Lately the only break I get is when I go out and detail my cars. I love doing it because it gives me a chance to get outside and do something I don't have to think about to much. It's very enjoyable and helps me clear my head. The one guy's motor home will be a big job and a lot of work. He's going have to pay me some really big bucs do to that one. I have no idea how much I would charge for that.

Justin detailed a mobile home once. He charged almost $500.00 for it.

Justin's detail looks very nice. I think $500.00 is very resonable for something that big. I was thinking more in the lines of double justin's price.
I have a big painting scaffold. I think I would set it up and just move the motor home around the scaffold to do the upper parts.

The average is 12.00 per foot. This owner really takes care of me though. 7 vehicles every 2 weeks worth!

So I take care of him in return.

12.00 per foot for motorhomes or do you use this for cars/trucks/suvs/boats too?

Psshhhh, wussy boy, it's 65 degrees here today in South FL, I'm bundled up in a fur coat, freezing my cajones off :D

cojones, huevos, pelotas, bolitas etc etc. Yes you've been spelling them wrong. No it's not the female part. That's another name. :p

I understand he is a good customer and it's good to take care of him. I read your whole detail on motor home. I'm sure you work faster then me and in my case he's begging me to detail his motor home and BMW's. I normally don't detail other peoples cars and I'm really not interested in doing it unless it's very profitable. I'm kind of affraid that if I start detailing other people's cars I may not enjoy detailing my own so much. I also have 3 other neighbors that keep asking me to detail their cars and I keep turning them down. They are some very nice cars and I might consider doing it if the price is right and I have the some extra time later on this year.

Also for me anything below 70 is cold.

Its 42 here in O town and I did 4 washs ,and I felt great. I wish we had more of this wether down here!!!
