Now Accepting Credit Cards!

I am wondering if there is a vendor that charges a lower percentage. I have heard some offering 1.5% but have had no luck finding them
 
2.75 is not a bad deal. If you find someone else who will take less they will probably charge you more fees and you will have to my a card reader which won't be near as convenient as the square. The fees are almost negligible. I should be getting mine real soon!
 
it still amazes me that there are so many people in my area that do not take credit cards... Since I started out, I have accepted them. I find that people take you more serious as a business when you offer cash check or credit.

I do about 35% sales with credit and you would be surprised how many customers say "oh you take credit? cool! I guess I will go ahead and do the headlights and the paint sealant too."

the sale almost always goes up when they use credit and that's with me not really trying.. I have a mobile Nurit machine that is cellular and prints out reciepts right there.. works great!

I don't wanna put anyone else down but people do tend to take you more serious when you offer credit/debit as an option.. they just do. It's 2011 and it's pretty easy to get setup.
 
as far as fees, it's pretty affordable... my provider offers different rates.. most are near 1.25% but can be as high as 2% on some rewards cards.. i'm not concrete on the % amount but I know it's not bad.. if i do a $400 sale it costs me about 4-5 bucks..
