Everytime I hear some bling bling, roll on 22's blah blah crap I cringe....then I hear somebody like Common and say "thank god" lol. Reminds me of hip-hop back in the day, none of this crap rapping about grills and how much ice you have b/c they have no lyrical skills. I have Common's cd's from way back.

Still love my heavy metal and hard rock:righton:
 
Not my type of old skool HH but I do like some or the verse in the song. I hang on to the old Dr. Dre and Snoop, NWA, Ghetto Boys, ect, ect. Same goes for Rock/heavey metal and I just like the newer bands. I still prefer the old Mettallica (ride the lightning, master of puppets, black cover), and Pantara, GNR, Ozzy, ect, ect.

Just as long as its not that bling bling rocking my grillz on 26's crappola:D . Common has been around a long time way back...

I was just watching some old Metallica vids, 1st cd ever when I was younger was Master of Puppets and still have it. One of my ring tones is "For Whom The Bells Toll" :righton:

Wouldn't know, you won't catch me listening to that crappola:D, its just funny b/c if you skim mtv ever single rap song is annoying, wtf is this bebebe bebebe or whatever the hell I here gangsta wannabes blasting now?. I think more people are suprised when they get in my truck and I have some heavy metal on, sure as hell suprises girls when we go out and their like "you listen to that??" lol.
 
I had one of Metallica's first cassete Garage days have no clue where it went :(.
 
My heavy metal alway makes me work faster. Like today I had Bile playing while I was remodeling my house and I flew...had two bathrooms and the master bedroom gutted before lunch. When I detail I put on my ipod with slayer, machinehead, mushroomhead, etc. on it and roll.

Surfer-- Common was on Leno last night...gotta admit I wasn't really impressed. It sounded like he just stood there and talked for 3-4 minutes...very boring. If that is hip-hop now I know why I don't like it.

I don't know what song he sang but sometimes his stuff is more like poetry I guess you coud say, he has a couple songs that aren't really hip hop. What song did he sing? For me to pretty much only like metal and hard rock and love Common says something for him lol.

It was the same one you posted. Yeah I know what your saying...I have a few people I listen to that don't fit in with my normal stuff. Some times you just need a change.

My fav. song to this day is "My Last Serenade" by KsE
