Before I found this forum and autogeek, my go to paint products were Meguairs NXT liquid wax and NXT spray wax as a booster every other week or so. NXT is about as easy to apply and remove as a wax can be, gave a decent shine and protection, and smelled great. But NXT spray wax, thats another story.

I have found the NXT Spray wax to actually be difficult to remove, and leaves streaks. It might be the first product I actually scrap, I think I have officially given up on it. I thought the idea of a spray wax was to save time and "boost" the protection and shine of an already applied wax or sealant in between waxing. I end up having to scrub the NXT Spray wax so much to get it off that it takes me more time and I am not sure its actually doing anything to enhance protection. I am also probably adding swirls to my paint in the process (although my Magnesium metallic seems to hide everything very well).

I replaced NXT wax when I ran out and since I found autogeek with its closest professional product in the Meguairs line, the Synthetic Sealant 2.0 (#21). That to goes on super easy, and wipes off just as easy. While it doesnt have the great smell NXT does, it was more cost effective. I did my whole car by hand in 30 minutes, where the NXT spray wax took longer with poorer results.

This is on my daily driver and done in the shade of course. Perhaps others have had better or different results with spray "booster" waxes, but if I can do an entire car by hand in 30 minutes with an actual wax or sealant, I think I am missing the point of the spray waxes.

The good thing about quick detailer is even if you don't like it it can still be used as clay lube. I've been using Duragloss and am quite happy with it, personally while I do like many of Meguiars products I don't particularly care for their quick detail sprays.

I was not very enamored with the NXT spray wax either. I never got streaking that you experienced but the application of the product is not really "time-saving". IMO, booster waxes should be of the WOWA variety. Otherwise, you might as well use the the full sealant/wax again.

I believe the new version of Meg's Quik Wax is WOWA and has been getting very positive reviews. It's inexpensive so it's worth a try. Other great alternatives include Duragloss AW and Optimum CW.

I agree,I have tried the NXT spray wax and it was very difficult to use,it required me to SCRUB it off with quik detailer.I ended up trashing it,but recycled the container of course after half a car.The NXT liquid wax is awesome and easy but I prefer the Ultimate liquid wax.The ultimate spray wax works surprisingly easy and has a great shine/feel.I'm not sure if it lasts a long time because I use it on my wife's car after every washing,it's only a year old so doesn't need any swirl/scratch removal yet.I'm also a big fan of Meguiar's Gold class.

Use Optimum Spray Wax (contains carnauba) or Dura Gloss Aquawax (a sealant) just once and the NXT spray wax will hit the trash can shortly thereafter.

Don't know why but NXT speed detailer always gives me trouble, it doesn't wipe off as easily as other QD.
But Ultimate Quik Wax is awesome and I highly recommend it.

Haven't tried the Megs NXT or their newer spray waxes. I could never pull the trigger on any NXT product for some reason.

I've tried Duragloss, Optimum and Pinnacle spray waxes. OCW has been my favorite but the other two work fine. Application in the shade is definately better.

Old Tiger suggested that some detail sprays and waxes seemed to work better for him with his humidity and weather. I think I remember Jim liking the Pinnacle and Aqua Wax better with his humidity. OCW works great for me in SoCal. Humidity is generally not an issue where I live, so your mileage may vary. I think OCW is the most durable.
OCW, Pinnacle and Duragloss spray waxes are all very easy to use in my opinion. All are WOWA. Aquawax is often used as a drying aid too.

Incidently, I love OCW on my alpine white BMW and generally over the WG sealant as a booster. Maybe 10-15 minutes to do the car. I only have to clay and reseal my bimmer every 5-6 months if I keep it washed 1x per week, maybe a waterless wash in between and use the OCW every few weeks.

OCW worked great on our 08 champagne beige BMW 535 xi. My inlaw's metallic silver Maxima's fleck absolutely popped the first time that I used it on their car. It works great on our friend's charcoal Mercedes C class too.

I've used the NXT spraywax many times without any issues whatsoever, and always got a nice deep, dark ,wet gloss out of it! I have Aquawax but always preferred the lok of NXT spray on my black Corrolla.

I wasn't a fan of NXT spray either. Not much easier than the liquid to use.
