O.C.Detailing (Lynchburg, VA.) 1987 Land Rover 110 (Papa Smurf's SUV, MASSIVE amounds of Oxidation!)

Way to go!! I love working on single stage paint.. the differences are usually night and day. Absolutely amazing work.

Wow that is a very dramatic makeover & Excellent work. You have some serious sweat equity into that job. I can see why the owner kept trying to tip you.

Very sorry about the loss of your Mother.

Oh wow! I just realized I had all of these replies to this thread and I didn't thank you! :( Very sorry!

That is awesome, I love resading through some of these older post to see what people are capable of.

Thank you very much Longbal. It was certainly a learning experience.

Simply Stunning!

heh Thanks Turbos.

Amazing work. Mom would be proud.

Thanks Jpegs. She was always proud of me though I never did much to give her something to be proud of. I miss her.

You should have seen it in person Dave. It was kind of surreal for me. I couldn't believe that kind of shine actually existed under the oxidation. Thank you for your kind words.

WOW! That's all I got to say! :dblthumb2: :wow::righton::applause:

Looks awesome great job, sorry to hear about your loss.

Hey Shane and LITUNDRA, so sorry for missing your compliments and not responding. Thank you both for your kind words. It's been a while since I did that truck, but it still looks pretty good and still no oxidation in almost a year of full-sun exposure on pretty much a daily basis.

Sorry to hear about your Mom passing. That would take the fun out of any job.

But now come clean and tell us the truth.

You had that truck painted when no one was looking, didn't you?

I'm particularly impressed by how the "new white paint" on the roof turned out.

That much work would have taken me weeks:buffing:

I'm really sorry to hear of your loss.

That rover was perfect for great detail. nice work!

Thanks so much guys. :) It was a labor of learning for me, unfortunately my mom passed away while I was detailing it and it kinda threw me a bit. It came out okay though.

First off, sorry for your loss. Sometimes keeping busy helps...

And in this case...clearly it did. Excellent results.
