This is my bread and butter. I take a lot of punches on the chin, but if one turns into gold I make up for the loss. I hate commercial accounts with a passion, but I have to generate a good source for slow days/ weeks. I am mobile, so I have to work with mother nature. Wed Thurs Fri this week are wet nasty days. I have to reschedule besides the ones that have a suitable work area. My friend is a property mgr for a local celebrity, so I'm doing some paint correction and regular maintenance on the collector cars. Not charging him much due to how many cars he has. However, the volume makes up the for the price. If I usually charge $50 for a car wash wax, but only charge him $25 car the 15 cars makes up for the loss. Every three months at $25 car=$375 not including any other requests. I have $4.68 in each wash wax. I'm not losing money if its nasty outside. Figure out your return of investment. Then use that as your tool when times get rough.
