Yeah I forgt about the "rare" thing but it could be a Z11 full-size Chevy but that's a 63' IIRC. I agree that "muscle cars" began with the GTO but no "muscle cars" from Mopar until 68' w/ the Road Runner, IMO.
With that said, I've got a better prediction....65' Chevelle Z16, black w/ white interior!

I did not want to leave out the Chrysler guys cause Guys like Tommy will probably BELLYACHE!It`s unlikely that they would put a GM motor in anything else but you never know.I have seen Fords, Toyota's, Jaguar`s ECT.Anything is possible, yet on this build I get the sense of simplicity and drive ability.He could have gone with a LSX but that requires deep pockets for the rest of the drive train and frame especially if it`s a glass body.This will be fun and I wonder how many times you can guess on the thread from NICK.

Just got off the phone with Wes, more excited to start on this project now that I know more history of this entire story. Perfect time of the year to do this.

Couldn't agree more! Sure the expenses are taken care of and all but surely Mike is a busy guy at work, recently engaged and I'm betting needs to be doing other things but has stepped up here! I've been on forums for over 12 yrs now and have never heard of something like this, can't wait to see and read about the entire story as it plays itself out.....also what the actual car is too!

GOOD JOB MIKE AND THE CREW AT AG, AS WELL AS THE SPONSORS!

Haven't posted for a while, just been lurking, but I have to say that I had a huge grin on my face the entire time I was reading through this thread. AWESOME generosity all around! Can't wait to see some pictures and hear about the guy's reaction.

I guess there is almost no chance of me getting Mike to come to my house after this deal since I cant offer much more than dinner and a few drinks. This sounds like it should be on tv!!

UPDATE!!!

We have sent John, the CEO pf House Of Kolors a formal invitation as well, and the response today was" we will do our best to make it there"..

Keep your fingers crossed, this can get even better. You have the owner, the fix it guy(me), the painter,the guy who MADE THE PAINT!!, then the SUPER STARS from Auto Geek showing up all in the cause for a son to get a Christmas present he has never thought of in 17 years....

I know, I know, next week can not get here fast enough for me too....

***Update***

Dennis Povio from 3M stopped by Wednesday and brought us all kinds of really cool tools for doing the wetsanding phase of this project.

I shipped these tools and everything needed to keep a team of 6-8 guys busy with tools at one time...


A big thanks to all our sponosors and to Todd in our shipping department for helping to get everything to Wes's shop in time.
