Official Invitation to MIKE PHILLIPS!!!!!!

Here is the deal.....I have a race car and custom header shop as most of you know. Love the fact that Mike supports one of the best guys in racing with Bruno Massel.....

We have a very unique opportunity that has presented itself. We have coming back in our shop, a freshly painted Christmas present for our #1 customer......

Here is what we are asking from you Mike, I would like to pay your expenses to come to our shop and perform a fresh cut buff, wet sand, and a final polish. It is an old muscle car that is some what rare, so it is pretty special. It is a Christmas gift from a father to a son in which the son thought the car was gone forever. Sort of an " OVERHAULING" thing going on so I thought to include you to help us out. Bring the camera crew you need and we will provide the room and board for you guys.

Thought it would be very cool for everyone involved and to see your work on a freshly painted car,BLACK, House of Kolors, with four coats of clear. Not to mention, it is being painted by another member here on the board.

I would like to see you do a segment on a freshly painted car from a body shop that gets the works!!!! Laser straight body with brand new paint.

All expense paid and of course we would pay for any pads, product, and labor involved.......

So what do you think Mike? You can make it a very Merry Christmas?

Thanks.....

Oh and Lord...please let it be near me...just a few hours, or less, from Dayton or Cinci.

I suppose that if it's indeed near me, that I need to ask for permission to come and watch. You know...hand Mr. Phillips products, pads, cold drinks and such. LOL!!

Mike is a HOT ROD guy and so am I so are going to divulge what car it is or is it a secret?:Picture:

Is the HOUSE OF KOLORS a three stage candy, metallic or pearl paint.Oh and by the way all of our local professional detailers and paint guys are busy that day!!! Yet it seems that my calender is open, HUUUUUUM.:dblthumb2:

Hi Wes,

All I can say is "wow"

I'm incredibly honored and humbled by your offer. I found your website and on it your gallery showing all the cool cars you work on and I must say your work is very impressive.

My passion is polishing paint in all it's spectrums and that includes wetsanding special interest cars like the kind we showcase here and the type you also work on.

I can't provide an answer to your request just yet as this type of decision involves management but I will get back to you.

Thank you for your gracious offer and even more... than you for your trust...

:)

Quite a thread and I'll try to follow this too....:props:

That's totally cool. I guess if you want it done right, you fly in the VIP.

+1000 except for near ME :nomore: lol!

On their site it shows a 402 area code, which appears to be somewhere in Nebraska.

Have to at least find out what kind of car...subscribed

SORRY FOR THE DELAY IN RESPONSE!!!! I actually just got home from the shop working and its past midnight here which is nothing new.....

Hey, thanks Mike for the reply. I have followed you for a while now and thought instead of showcasing some of the big guys, lets do a segment for the little guys that gives 100% and makes the hobby more into a lifestyle and living it everyday.....

I totally understand the management thing, but look at what it would do for all of us who are small and support the small business guy like you who gives so much knowledge and dedication in return. You were the first guy that came to mind....

NOW ON WITH THE STORY:........

This car has been in a barn for 17 years. When the son left for college, it was backed in a corner and began to become a Bellagio for mice. There it sat year after year just settling dust on her back for years. So much dust that when we picked it up, we could not tell what color it was initially. The story begins back at a Thanksgiving about two years ago when the car was brought up at the supper table....." that ol' thing, I will never be able to get it back, I just can not afford it right now". A true father looks to help his son in any way he can. Dad lets the dust settle for a few months and then calls me. Hey, I want to do this ol' car for the kid. He put himself through college and knew one day that he maybe could afford the car once he became older. But Dad thought, why not now, we have the resources, and the team to get this done for him and give it to him for Christmas so he would not even suspect this thing is going on. This is a TOTAL and I mean TOTAL surprise gift. Compare it to your Dad showing up with your first ever bicycle RESTORED!!!!.....just totally AWESOME.

I came to you Mike because of the passion you have for helping all of us. I just thought to ask for your help to the small guy sometimes that is willing to sell his own car to get you here and make this happen for a Dad that is not my father but has treated me like a son for over 8 years. He has seen my business grow from my home garage to a 6k square foot shop in only 14 months with four people now working part time and enough work until April of 2013. Without him I would not be here nor have the space to offer you to come and do this huge favor for us....

This whole thing is about more than a car, and a father and son. It is about helping those who would not have the opportunity to be something without the help of others who put their faith and trust in someone who has the potential but may not the chance to showcase it.......

If this works AWESOME, I think it will bring a feeling that will last forever in all of our minds beyond just those of us involved. It is a win for all of us who spend more than 20 hours awake everyday for 12 years to make a go at a business no one ever saw, except one person.......the kid's Dad saw it in me.....I am going to make this happen no matter what.......

So thanks Mike for even responding, it means the world to me that people even notice....

NOW, for those of you who want to know what the car is.....I can not reveal it yet because it is so different, that if I was to say, it would show up in this thread in a Google search.......lets just say....its AMERICAN MADE CAR, and it now sports an LS1 and a 6 speed...it will be a daily driver that he can hop in and come home anytime a few hours away...

Got to hit the sack guys, thanks for subscribing......it will be worth your interest for sure. Even if Mike can not make it, he sure can lend some of that good advice and product knowledge to make this the best Christmas ever for more that just the kid....all of us..

p.s. I will update that website in a few days......lol
