Did the better halfs 2012 ford escape yesterday. Used megs NXT wax. (Her choice). More of a poloymer than a wax. Streaked a little, but streaks came out with a damp mf. Applied to the whole vehicle (as stated on the bottle) then buffed off with a mf. Got some rain this morning, and beading is very good. This vehicle had NXT on it prior.

Haha! Looks like Marc08EX hasn't posted in 6 months.

Agreed, Marc is a great guy, and a very good detailer. I think it is a huge loss for this online community.

Please add me to the list! I've been using Meguiars products since I bought my first new car in 1972! The first product I used was the red bottle wax Mike refers to in an earlier post as an antique!

Well I think I should qualify, been using Meg's for 13 years. Started after about a month after purchasing my first vehicle and unhappy with TW's products. The Gold class served my '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee well.

I will admit I went searching to see if something would perform better, and need all new products since I have been out of the country for a year and they were frozen over the winter. I ended up purchasing pretty musch all products from the Mirror Glaze and Detailer Line- APC, Hyper Dress, M105/205, M21, Liq Tech Wax.

After seeing post of other products Meg's either held there own or out performed IMO.

I hereby repent of my erring ways for doubting Meguiars would not hold their own against the so called specialty or boutique products.

Speaking of (mere) technicalities:
You did not ask to be added to a list.

Here's a "toughie":

Some things are meant to be...Some are not. 👍
Is it the universe's way of providing contrast? 🙌

Long time lurker first time poster, and a newbie weekend warrior. I have a 2013 GTI with hard, hard paint, that I was not able to buff swirl marks and scratches from. I tried Griots Polish #3 and # 1(came in my GG6 kit), and Ultimate compound with 6" CCS orange pads and it was not doing anything. I decided I needed to step down to a 5" backing plate so I went and bought the 5" Megs MF DA system. :) I just did a test spot and it knocked every swirl and scratch out of the paint. Call me a happy camper! Im the MAN

Great forum, where I have learned a lot of stuff. My wallet it starting to hurt though, LOL. Thankfully the wife is understanding.

thanks,
Randy

In all honesty, I could get rid of all my non Meguiar's products, and be just fine. Recently I've experienced the disappointment of other products I've been experimenting with. Total let downs! I look over to my shelves of trusted Meguiar's products, grab the bottle, and get to work. I absolutely love them!

I got into Meguiar's by a fellow drummer I saw back in 1996. His cymbals were GLEAMING! When I asked him how he got them so shiny, he directed me to their Deep Crystal system. That was it folks. Once I started using it on cars and drums, I expanded into the Gold Class (my old tin from 1996 recently "blew up"), Medallion (still have two bottles of paint cleaner, but my bottle of the protectant is basically water), and the Mirror Glaze line (M09, M07, M26). In that time, the paste 18 years Meguiar's (like many of my drum equipment manufacturers) have earned my trust, and that is a difficult thing for a company to do. Their products have always performed beyond their claims, they have been consistent, and while their core products perform so well, they continue to innovate. This adds to the enjoyment of detailing (cars and drums), and shows that they are interested in what they do as manufacturers.

Some of the products I love:

A12 Cleaner Wax - Cars just look fantastic after using it. Anyone can get results from A12.

The Ultimate Trio - This system provides the enthusiast/part timer like myself with a professional style product line up to get cars looking great. Last summer was the first time I put it to use. Each product individually is a star performer.

M26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax - I bought a tin of this after I picked up my first brand new "from the dealer" car. It was a 1999 black Chevy Cavalier. I went to the painter's supply store, and asked what the best type of wax to use was, and Rich told me to buy the M26, because it was a new car. Now, I may have had a tin back in 96 as well, but I remember having bad luck taking care of the tins. In particular, the tin I purchased for the Cavalier was left in the back seat on some newspapers. I didn't see it when I was cleaning up, and the tin blew open with half melted paste wax... I felt so stupid... Anyways, today I have four tins on my shelf. One of them is the plastic screw top container they offered years ago. M26 could replace my boutique carnauba waxes, without a problem. I recently used a ColorX/M26 combo on my mom's Saturn Ion. My girl friend's truck, and my neighbor's 04 Mustang are receiving the Ultimate Wax/M26 finishing combination. I absolutely love M26 as a finisher!

Sorry for droning on, but you get the idea. I, like many of you have come to trust and enjoy Meguiar's.

Ya know that is the term I've been looking for to describe Meguiar's products. TRUST!

Meguiar's is amazing, the pro staff is wonderful.

Please add me to the list. My first name is Jeff. I've been using Meguiars products for years to buff out my paint jobs. I was always a loyal 3M user until the owner of the paint store I get my supplies from suggested I try Meguiars. I just checked, and I have 16 different Meguiars products in my arsenal right now.

Its hard to imagine anyone who has ever detailed a car...is not a megs fan for life and frankly could throw every other product line away and never skip a beat.

I thought I was signed up on here but maybe not . Sign me up. May name is Dave aka WAXOFF. Love the Meguiars line.

3M owns Meguiars for several years. So you are using a 3m product.
