Offline for a few days...

Just finished my big 3-day detailing class. It was a total success.

22 students.
10 VIP Guest Instructors
14 cars detailed

Guess what? I'm tired. I'm beat. I'm doing IDA Skill Validation Testing today, (Monday after the 3-day class), and then I'm offline and off work until Thursday.

When I do come back to work on Thursday the garage is a complete MESS having had 22 people detail 14 cars in 3 days. (think about it)

So for everyone posting questions in this forum group,

Ask Mike Phillips your detailing questions!

Apologies, but I'm half human and half machine and the human part needs to take a break and recharge his batteries.

Have a great few days of relaxing and recharging, Mike. You are very much appreciated.

When you come back, I hope you find my first Show and Shine. I finished detailing my Harley yesterday. Spent a lot of time on it and it turned out really great.

Couldn't have done it without you and the help from the folks here.

When you're relaxing, I hope you get a chance to reflect on the long list of enthusiast and pros you've helped along the way.

:bump:

Just wanted to bump this to bring it back to the top of the forum homepage.

Don't want anyone asking questions or looking for help think they are being ignored but if I work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week I'll end up divorced.

Oh yea, rest up. We are not spring chickens anymore, you need to recharge.

:bump:

Thank you to everyone that has been helping out on the forum while I've been offline. :dblthumb2:

I'll check out your Harley Show and Shine and thank you for the kind words. As for everyone I've helped along the way, Zig Ziglar wrote,

You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.

Seems like a good philosophy to live by...

All recharged and ready to go.

Forum is really busy. Lots of great questions being asked.

Apologies to anyone waiting on me or wanting me to chime-in but since this last class I've been playing catch-up in so many different areas of work.

And now tomorrow? Anniversary

I'll be offline tomorrow, Wednesday May 12.

Then when I'm back on Thursday I'll be in the garage all day wetsanding a 1972 Cutlass to knock out all the panels BUT the trunk, which we're saving for our Thursday Live Detailing Class and again for the MTE Education Series LIVE video class at 6:00pm

So the soonest I'll be back behind a computer will be Friday, May 14th.

Hold down the cyber-fort.

Thanks Paul!

Love my wife! She hooked me up to go fishing with the boys in Fort Lauderdale tomorrow while she has Spa Day with the girls!

Yeah buddy!

Life is good!

:D

Now THIS is a professional married couple, folks!!

Agree to go and do what each one loves (albeit separate) because you know it will make each of you the happiest.

I'm coming up on anniversary #21 this year, and this is how you do it...............

Right on, Mike! Enjoy, buddy!!

Looks like you went out at Port Everglades. Nice looking dolphin catch. That's some good eatin' on the grill.

I enjoyed doing that a few times when i lived in Broward.

Happy belated anniversary, Mike and Stacy.

(Does Stacy have a single sister???)

Thanks Paul and "no" - Stay's sister is happily married. :xyxthumbs:

Was on the boat for about 6 hours yesterday and then about an hour to wash her down really good. That much time on a boat maintaining your stability as the boat is either plowing through the waves or when trolling beats you up pretty good.

Wish I was doing desk work all day but nope - going to being doing a "Scuff & Buff" in the garage to the 1972 Cutlass we're using for 2 LIVE video classes later this afternoon and this evening. The owner and I will sand, buff and coat every panel BUT the trunk lid as we'll be saving this for the video classes.
