I dont know about all of you, but for most of last year and into the winter I have been using sealants for their durability and length of protection. I also got tired of toppers, with so may nice qd'er+ type products to add gloss. Well for most purposes Spring is here is South Florida and hopefully weather will stay in the 70's - to - 80's so it was time to use a carnauba.

I implore those of you that have not diddled with a carnauba to do so again. The wetness, the glow, the vivid looks of a just waxed beauty makes it feel like old friends meeting again. Yummy .... I really wish I had the time to do both cars. Just some P21S Paint Cleanser and a carnauba offer the richness and rewards I have seem to have forgotten :buffing:

:Picture: You know better than to post something like this without the pics!!! :D

Scott, did I read that right? Sealant for you? :D
Well, I have some great waxes (carnauba) that I've veered away from my sealants, even in the Winter here, though I've been using mostly 476S
I'm yet to try my PS, and now you mention it, perhaps the new P21S should be in order :)

i love my carnuba waxes!!!! and now sig series with a larger tub!!!!! o yaaaa.

My husband doesn't appreciate me diddling:D

Good God:eek: !!!!!! HAHAHA!

That makes me want to use my carnauba this weekend but looks like rain. Soon I hope.

I'd love to move to Florida for that weather. I love my nuba's.

Hehe.... For me I use carnauba on raining season in Malaysia. And sealants on our hot summer season. Since we only have 2 season here. Oh I think there's another 3rd new season for the last few years now..... It's called Haze season.... It'll be gloomy and very dusty. :)

still to overcast for good pics ....

I just don't see the point. There is no real difference between a properly detailed and sealed car than a waxed one.
The loss of slickness, the monthly reapplication, dust sticking to the paint.
I never noticed any difference when I used carnauba.
Not to say that the really expensive ones will do that though.

Umm....
This one caught me by surprise. I could probably spot carnauba from 100 meters away!
haha.

I'm guessing it's been a loooong time since you applied any carnauba. It cheap and looks awesome. You should be able to notice a difference without doubt. Think about it. Carnauba vs Sealant. Nature vs Manmade. Analog vs Analog. Surely you can tell the difference between and analog recording and a digital one right? Same thing.

Do yourself a favor and try some Natty's. Good luck.

I've tried collinite, top of the line, p21s and pinnacle and was not impressed
P21s is the worst of the lot though.

I'll have to give waxes a go on my hilux. That's had driven quick spray by rotary to bring back the lost shine, enhance and protect it but as of yet I've not put any pure sealant or wax on.

Well as far as wetness goes, my car's pretty wet, it's not oozing but has insane clarity.
Polish brings wetness, wax may give more but how long does the wetness last?

I'm not sure if I'd like to use something that provides a finish that doesn't last.

I hear you. I used to be carnauba crazy but applying it month after month just isn't worth it to me anymore. Although I do use liquid souveran often because it does give an in between carnauba/sealant look on my car and it only takes me 5 mins to do my whole car.
It lasts longer than a 'straight' carbauba and looks great.

Anyway, a well prepped car with sealant applied is hard to beat so enjoy what u've been doing. Take care.:D

I 100% agree I have 3 tubs of souveran, swissvax concourso, zymol concours, p21S and lusso oro to try and I am still not done!!

And to think that another forum that also begins with an A, stated (about a year or so ago) that Carnauba wax was a dinosaur and would go the same way... (I don't think that will happen in my lifetime) :buffing:
