Oil Change Time ... Which and Why >>

I'm currently running M1 with M1 EP going in next oil change. However it seems M1 (non EP) is showing high(er) iron level in uoa. After I use up the M1 EP I will switch over to Pennzoil Platinum maybe Ultra since both M1 and Pennz synthetics can do 7500 miles and Penz is slightly cheaper and just a good.

you might have missed my post on page four where i said you can get five quarts of Ultra for (essentially) $3 TOTAL with their rebate program. so, i'd say it's definitely more than "slightly" cheaper, lol.
 
Not a tremendous fan of Mobil 1 to be honest. I've run it in previous high performance engines with quite a bit of valvetrain noise.

I've used Mobil 1 in our Regal since the first oil change, now it has 42,000 miles on it and it's only 2 years old. I've noticed lots of valvetrain noise as well, lots of chatter. I don't know if it's common for the 2.4L or not, but it is ANNOYING! On my last oil change in my HHR SS I switched from Mobil 1 to Pennzoil Ultra and it reduced the chatter a lot, which is common for this motor. I'm thinking of going with Pennzoil Ultra for the Regal to see if it helps.
