so get this, my brother brings his work truck into this detail shop to get rhino lined. so he shows me they are having specials right now on detailing. so i asked him to talk to the guy at the front desk to price some cars out for a full detail to see how my prices matched up. so the package included interior, exterior and 3 stage buff. im on the phone with him while he is talking to the guy and as soon as he asked for a 3 stage buff the guy stops him and asks for the interior or exterior??? i had to stop and replay it in my head for a second. i told my brother to ask what he means. the guy looked at him like he was an idiot and said, " you want a 3 stage buff for the interior or exterior" now am i missing some new process that is available where you can 3 stage buff the interior of a car or is everyone as confused as i? Its things like this that scare me lol

Eh, I wouldn't be so scared if it's just the yo-yo at the counter asking that...if it's the guy who's going to buff the car that's another story...

Step away from the vehicle!!

Have you every heard the phrase: Run Forest Run!! DO IT!!

Lol!! an image of a guy using a rotary on the dash, just flashed through my head!!

I want the 3 stage buff for the interior and I WANNA WATCH. Maybe I can learn something

hahahaha, i couldnt believe it when i heard it. funny thing its actually an established shop thats been there for a couple years. i think im going to go into there and ask the same questions and when he asks again im going to have him explain it to me. this is too funny to let go

Must be the same guys that showed up to mobile "detail" our fleet. At first they looked like they may know what they're doing, trailer with their own water & generator. Then they pulled out run of the mill waladvancezone stuff, washed and waxed all the vehicles from one bucket with the same rag. I opted my vehicle out of the deal.

Another reason why vehicle owners are confused when it comes to having their vehicles "detailed". Educating them after they incur such an offer becomes problematic when you, as a professional, offer and explain your detail services and the processes you will utilize. Then watch their expressions (emotional outbursts to be mild about it) when you quote them your prices!

IMHO...Changeing the general public's view and opinion of "What is a detail?" has always been an uphill battle. And with these kind of 'detail' shops and car dealerships getting in the fray by also offering 'detail' services...THE END IS NOT IN SIGHT.

I think it just may be his marketing lingo to sound "extraordinary".......

Hey wait! Maybe it's the same guy that invented the skyhook and the frammus rod!

Ask him if they'll top off your blinker fluid while 3-stage buffing the interior

well at least you know what not to do-that kinda junk just runs custemers off-lesson #2-when its all done and said people remember good people and recomend that person like yourself-ask any mobile detailer and i am sure they get more work from word of mouth becouse of good charachter

I was wondering if he may have thought that the truck had painted parts in the interior? lol... I did a Mini S once that the customer asked for a paint correction on the interior panels because they were custom painted and swirled up from the local Octopus car wash...
