Hey guys, all of the products I use are from Meguiars with the exception of ONR Wash & Wax. I really want to try HD Speed in the Spring to do an AIO treatment with the DA and yellow foam pad.

Will Ultimate Quik Wax, Ultimate Quik detailer work well for maintenance with the HD Speed on the car or should I stick to using White Wax as my AIO option since it's all in the Meguiars family?

Thanks.

UQW and UQD will work without any issues onto of HD Speed.

Invest the $14.99 and get some HD Poxy to top the Speed off with and stay within the HD family.

Are you dong an AIO on your personal vehicle?

I understand using an AIO on a Customer Car to stay within a budget, but I don't understand why anyone would use an AIO on their personal vehicle.

I have even more difficulty why anyone would use an AIO and then do another step and top it with another LSP.

Why not use a polish that produces a better finish than an AIO, followed by an LSP that performs better than an AIO?

I barely have time to wash my cars... Let alone clay, polish, and seal them. Before I started using coatings the only thing I really had time for was a quick once over with an AIO, sometimes only on a few panels at a time.

I'm not sure why anyone would use an AIO and then top it with another form of protection. Seems like you would have better results with a dedicated polish and wax/sealant.

This would be on my personal vehicles. I would only use the AIO and use the Meguiars stuff to maintain the protection after washing and such. I don't have the time or the space to do a multi step detail since I'm in an apartment and don't always have the ability to travel 30 minutes to where I can use the DA at my parents house.

This is a daily driver and considering it's not garaged and I'm limited to ONR washes, the paint is in great condition and honestly only needs a few passes with an AIO every few months to a half year. When it's not winter I keep it maintained with ultimate quik wax as I dry after washes. I see no need for a multi step process and HD Speed seems like a great product, hence my question.

If you're going to use a wax (like Poxy), is there a reason to use Speed in the first place? Why wouldn't someone just use HD Polish (or another polish) and top it with Poxy? Isn't the purpose of an AIO so you don't have to do two steps?

Maybe because you have a time constraint? Or could also be because you're too tired at the end of a car to do another step. What if you're practicing the least aggressive method? Even if you used only the polish you'd have to follow up with some sort of topper resulting in two steps anyways. Using an AIO gives you more options in certain situations.

What are "more options" that an AIO gives you vs. polish followed by LSP? Seems to me the later give many more options.

Too tired...that is not how we talk around here!

How much time does using an AIO save you vs. Polish and a machine applied LSP? Especially if the Protection of the LSP only lasts half as long...at best.
