Old school rap

Check out Shadows Fall and the new CD by Trivium. The singer for Trivium sounds almost like Hetfield and they have sick guitar work.

If you have a good tolerance for screaming vocals, I'd also recommend Dark Tranquility and In Flames for some awesome Scandinavian melodic metal. You Viking guys know how to rock!
I downloaded Requiem & Ember to Inferno and it's o.k a bit to much screaming. The beats itself were good. I'm more of Metallica Ride the Lighting Album, Master of Puppets, or the old Suicidal Tendencies group some Mega Death.

YEEEEEEah Eazy DUZ it!!

YouTube - biggie freestyle That is a cool video :D

I also like tupac, run dmc, wutang, nwa, I don't know if this artist counts as old school but I like Common, and others I can't think of right now :p.

Ahhh yeah. Sorry, they were really screamy until the last CD, which was called "The Crusade". I should have clarified on that one. Listen to the song "Anthem (We Are the Fire)" off of that one and you'll see what I mean.

As for In Flames, try the song "Dialogue with the Stars" off of the album "Whoracle". It's all instrumental, so you can get a feel for the guitars. Another good one off of that one is "Episode 666". Whoracle and the last album, "Come Clarity" are the two I like the most from them, and Come Clarity has some clean singing in there. You can download the mp3s from this one off of Amazon for .89 each unless you have another, more frugal download method.

Finally, for all clean singing and awesome guitars, try out these bands' albums:

(band) Dragonforce - (album) Inhuman Rampage
(band) Sonata Arctica - (album) Unia
(band) Nightwish - (album) Once

Let me know what you think! You can preview most of these on Amazon's site to get a taste without buying everything.

In Flames is one of my favorite bands. Trivium I don't really listen to but their bass player lives here in Pompano Beach. Lacuna Coil, Arch Enemy :righton: . Swede/Den/Norweig have some sick rock bands. Within Temptation, chick has the most amazing voice.

Arch Enemy is fantastic. I still can't believe that voice comes out of a hot blond chick. The guitars are insane, too.

If you like Lacuna Coil you have to listen to Nightwish if you haven't yet.

I hope In Flames keeps putting out good stuff, they kind of lost their way on Soundtrack to Your Escape, but Come Clarity was good.
