Oldest daily driver

Knock on wood. Not one issue with the batteries (cranking or hybrid)

You know back when the Prius became popular, everybody loved to hate it. And a common warning was "sure, you'll save money on gas now, but in 5 years you'll have to get a new battery and that will cost more than all the money you saved on gas". I guess that was all a bunch of hooey, because I just never hear any stories about hybrid batteries having to be replaced. Hyundai kind of blew a hole in the argument when they came out with the Sonata Hybrid and included the battery in the 10/100K powertrain warranty.

Toyota hybrids are ridiculously reliable. I have had two and my pops has one

I drive a 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser with 260,000+ miles. I bought it with 167,000. Wouldn't hesitate to get in it and go cross country.

Currently in a 2006 Nissan Titan with about 230k. Came out of a 1993 Rx-7 with just under 100k. Still have the RX-7, but she sits in the garage as I slowly accumulate parts and resources.

I think Mike Phillips would win this hands down, his truck is a late 70's / early 80's Chevy 4x4.

My daily is a 1997 corolla with 275,000 that the wife bought new. Car runs great but i will save you the picture since it is a rusted out POS

My old daily driver was a 2007 Toyota Matrix XR. I got it second hand from my dad after he got something with more space but it was a great car. When I sold it to a friend of my dads, it had only 68k miles on it or so. 110000 ish kilometers for the fellow Canucks here. Those were the dark days before Autogeek, when I would run the car through a brush wash and drive home quickly, then wipe off any extra road dust with a dry microfibre towel and then when it looked good enough, I would slather on a layer of CG Butter Wetwax and thought it was great. Course it had so many stone chips on it, had a little bit of rust and a few love taps I got in my younger more irresponsible days. I actually miss the car, I would've loved to have kept it and see what I could have done to it now, but my parents asked me as a favour to sell it to his friend.

My '93 Geo Metro Base Hatch with the super high performance 1.0ltr 3 cylinder.

Last fill up was 46.7mpg and I drive it like I stole it..... Oh yeah, has 252,000+ on the clock.

My daily driver is a 1987 Chevy Silverado. That makes it 30 years old. I don't care much for new cars.

You can see it if you watch CARFIX on Velocity Channel. Lou and Jared used it to show how to replace rear cab corners and also to swap out the wimpy 700R4 transmission and the wimpy NP208 Transfercase and install a Dana Sniff built Chevy Turbo 400 mated to a divorced Dodge NP203 cast iron, steel gear transfercase.

Tim aka 57BORNTORUN made a post about it here,
