So this truck is part of one of my clients collection of cool and original rides. I did his matching numbers 70 LS6 Chevelle earlier this year and he had me come back to handle this truck.

Sorry for the low quality pics. The shop doesn't have the greatest lighting and it was cloudy outside.

This is a fully original 79 454 big block with A/C Silverado that has never been restored. And it has only 5k miles on the clock!!! The appraiser couldn't even find another one when searching for comps. So who knows what the true value is.

The factory black single stage paint needed a little bit of polishing up. And man do I love polishing single stage.

Most of the truck got a 2 step. NO harsh wool or microfiber pads.

Rupes 21mm Mark ll/Adams swirl killer mini, Mckees orange pad, Fast correction cream

Rupes 21mm Mark ll/Adams swirl killer mini, Mckees black finishing pads, Hyper polish

LSP- TW Seal and Shine

Wow!

Let me say that again with a little bigger font to show how cool I think this truck it....

WOW!

While I would prefer the 4x4 version in 1979 this 2-wheel version is one hell of a truck even by today's standards. With the 454 big block and the heavy duty running gear and brakes that would come with this model it could pull anything just as well as anything on the showroom floor today.

And the opportunity to work on all the original factory single stage black paint is so rare it borders on impossible.

This is what I now days call a Bucket List Buff - a car I've never buffed out and probably will never have the chance to buff out again.

And as always - phenomenal work Justin.

Thanks Mike! I totally agree with it being a bucket list buff. This truck is unreal. It even smelled new still!

I didn't get the full story but I know a gentleman owned it prior and wanted to unload it and gave my client a more than unreal price so he jumped in his car and went and bought it.

That is a really clean beauty! You can eat off the engine and engine compartment.

And what a rare low miles on it.

Thanks for shareing your incredible work on this truck!

/ Tony
