When you learn how to work with a rinseless wash. Its not like soap on a wash mitt, that you just rub all around.

I find it works well with a wool mitt. Or a microfiber mitt, even. I've tried sponges, but just not comfortable rubbing a sponge on the cars, with no suds.

I dip the mitt in the rinseless wash. On side panels I run from left to right, and on top panels I run from top to bottom. I merely just place the mitt on the panel, and guide it from one end to the other, on each panel. after doing that along the whole panel, I follow up with a mf, buffing the panel. I don't use the mf until the panel is 100% clean.

I then move on to the next panel. I use a separate mitt for the bottoms of the side panels, and bumpers.

I usually use a separate rinse bucket for the mitt.
 
Thank you Kris R for the review/write up. I too have been very skeptical about the more or less "waterless" washes and have been reluctant to purchase. But, now I think I am willing to give it a shot-i would love to not have to use someones water and actually be able to fully detail a vehicle anytime anywhere. So again, thank you.

One quick question though, how many towels or whatever it is you use, do you go through in one wash? I want to make sure I have enough for the washing part and also finish the detail.

Hard to say. You could figure, worst case. One towel per two panels.

I use distilled water for my no rinse - seems to reduce water spotting.

I bought a stainless steel mini-measuring cup for $3 that I use all the time:

I've tried various mitts (only sheepskin have I not tried) on a few occasions and much prefer to use a plush long nap MF towel as my media when I do an ONR wash, it gives you 4 sides to clean with before you have to go back into the bucket. 8 sides if you have plush microfiber towels that have long nap on both sides instead of just 1. I've also not used the Opti-Mitt.
 
Just did an ONR wash with opti-mit. It has been cold and snowy for sometime so my car was quite dirty. My garage was about 45 degrees. But with hot water an nitrile gloves the job was not so bad. I did a pre spray of each panel QD strength solution-used about 1/2 gallon for car. A good amount of dirt flowed off. Maybe too dirty for ONR. At any rate moving on I found that I had to do multiple passes with mit since first pass or so left a lot of dirty water on paint. About 2/3 of the way through I switched to Lowe's grout sponge with much better results - a lot of the dirt adhered to the sponge but rinsed of in the bucket.

Finished up with QD with Finish Kare 425. All I can say about 425 is WOW!! What a shine. Soft brush and ONR solution finished off wheels. The wheels were coated with Duragloss 501/601 topped with DG AW. Cleaned up really easily.

I didn't seem any swirls or marring when I checked with Ultrafire LED flashlight which lasted just long enough before it died - POS. The microprocessor went into some sort of flashing mode even though it only has on/off functionality.

I agree with all positive comments above. I prefer an ONR wash to a traditional wash. I prefer to hose the car off first and wash wheels & tires traditionally if its not too cold. Probably do 3-4 ONR washes to each 2 bucket washes. Griz, to each his own.

DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss is a Great product!!! Much more cost effective then ONR. Just my .02 :hotrod2:

How do you get this? I was looking at both of them the other day and dont they have the same dilution ratio? and I believe the price ($40) is the same for both of them... or did I miss something? Not trying to be a jerk Im just curious because I was looking into this exact same thing a few days ago

I use ONR a lot and so far I find those microfiber sponges the best...the ones with the little things that hang off them like the Cobra wash mitt. I get them at an Autozone for $3. Pretty much the only thing i'll buy there.

Also, I believe the cap for 32 ounce bottle of ONR is exactly 1/2 an ounce. Can anyone with a measuring tool confirm that?

Like I said I was just more curious than anything. I didnt know if you had an insiders tip or something :props: Now if they put it on BOGO then it is a MUCH better deal

I will confirm it: filled to the brim of the cap is bang on 1/2 oz.

I use an old baby bottle to measure car care concentrated liquids. The cap is long lost and our girls are too big for bottles so no worries over accidental ingestion.

This is my second winter using ONR. I love the smell of the new formula, yummy. :xyxthumbs:
ONR is great stuff, it works the way it is advertised and I don't think the people here would say otherwise if it wasn't true. We are all obsessive about our vehicle's finish and if we weren't we'd just go to the corner car wash and be done with it.
BTW, I come home from the office for lunch every day and if I find the house empty I will on occasion ONR my car and be back from lunch hour on time. I know I couldn't do that if I had to drag out the hose, reel it back up when done, get out the Metro Vac to blow out the crevices, etc..... It saves me time and money (two gallons H2O + ONR.)
