ONR dilution for cleaning door jambs

Does a gallon of water have to be used or can you use less? I assume less would be a waste. However, I'm trying to use a 16oz to 32oz squeeze bottle (space concerns).

Thanks in advance.

Mix 1/4oz - 1/2oz ONR to 32oz water and you should be fine in my opinion.

For 32oz you'd use 2oz of ONR. For 16oz, you'd use 1oz. 8oz to a gallon>4 quarts/gallon>quart is 32oz

If you ever need a good automatic dilution calc, you can use the link below. ONR is pretty straight forward, for other concentrates this will help.

Thank you for both responses! Great dilution calculator. Math is not my "fortay.":work:

I do my jambs a little weird: OPC agitated by a boars hair brush; tooth brushes for the tight spots.

Wipe it off with a clean but disposible MF, then a damp MF (may start trying ONR instead of straight water)

Paint cleanser to clean the paint further and clear up any left over residue.

and lastly: LSP! (usually Meg's Ultimate QW for jambs)

Do try the ONR rinse, as I believe you'll like it. I'll keep a bucket of used ONR and often use it as a rinse step when cleaning wheels, tires, jambs or engine compartments and a hose is not available. IMO, it rinses cleaner than just plain water.

Thant was my problem with rinsing with water; it didn't rinse clean, but the paint cleanser would clear everything up.

But, from what I understand, ONR can be used to rinse OPC without any problems. Plus the gloss the ONR gives would be nice.:xyxthumbs:

If you google Mark Harris + door jambs, you should find a nice article entitled:

Good stuff.

QD dilution will do well. It's 8oz per gallon.

I hate to admit this to you Chris but being old school I'm thinking 2 oz /gallon for waterless wash, well 4oz/gallon is 2x better and hey... 8oz/gallon is 4x better. Why not mix my waterless wash at 8oz/gallon dilution rate. Bringing this up because I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one who thinks in these terms, so for once place clarify this for me. What would be an ideal dilution rate for waterless wash and for ONR used as a QD? I'm soooo confused. lol
