ONR First Impressions

Well my ONR came in today. Thank goodness because I have a car show tomorrow.
If you live in an apartment ONR is a god send. The directions are pretty simple. Two capfuls of ONR for 2 gallons of water. I did my entire car and wheels/tires (last of course) with one bucket. Yeah I know I should use two buckets, but it's getting cold and dark right about now and I was feeling lazy.
I'm very impressed with how simple it is to use ONR. I feel a little bit better using water when I'm washing my car when it's relatively dirty (we had rain and frost this week) as opposed to using the waterless wash. I'm not giving up my waterless wash anytime soon though.
Thanks to all of the guys that posted how to videos. They did come in handy and helped influence me to buy the ONR.
 
"wheels/tires (last of course)". Wheels/wheelwells and tires should be done first to avoid getting road grime and brake dust on your nice clean car, with a different sponge/mitt than you use on the painted surfaces of your vehicle and different wash water. Just my humble opinion. Oh, and you're right - ONR is great stuff!
 
OH I did use a different mitt on the wheels and tires. I'm ready for spring so I can do another polish job.

When using 2 buckets and ONR you are correct..But when only using one bucket would do it in the steps that LMGTO did - I will hit the wheels with my cleaner of choice and go about my onr wash and when done finish off the wheels taking care not to contaminate the paint.

FYI: I have yet to do an ONR wash on a filthy vehicle either and I am about to order my second gallon. Not because I don't think it can handle it but more because doing it with foam, suds, pressure washer and other tools seems more thorough.
 
ONR is awesome, but ever since I got it I haven't used car soap as much since I can just ONR every week. I need to order another gallon soon.:D

Perhaps its too early in the morning, but perhaps someone could explain the logic behind this. "Cleaning wheel surfaces first to avoid getting etc etc..."

I always clean them last for this very reason?
 
I clean my wheels and tire's first with a bucket dedicated for it and use two other buckets for the body of the car. The only thing I do hate about ONR, is my brush are harder to clean.
 
Thanks for the review LMGTO...i use ONR as a QD..,works great on glass ext/int,clay lube(so ive read) and works great as a QDer on lightly dusted wheels
 
im glad you tried and liked onr, it really isa great product. the only thing your forgot was pics.. you cant leave us in the dark

Oh come on I had a car show today. I didn't take pics of my car a friend did. I'll get some afters up for you guys I promise.





BTW I came home with a trophy...LOL
 
I'm not surprised you like ONR... it is great stuff!

Can't wait for the new OCW!
 
I have been loving my ONR too. I have used a few micorofibers with it, 2 for washing and 2 when using as a QD. It easily get s all the junk off the car and into the microfiber, but now the micro's are stained as heck. I tried letting them sit in the remaining ONR, vinegar etc. with no luck. I kind of thought ONR was supposed to help release dirt from the microfibers being used to wash too, no?
They are stained, but still feel ok like they will grab fine...just curious if any of you have used MF's to clean with ONR and have gotten them realy stained?
Nonetheless, I am loving rinseless washing!

MFs are all i use..oh wait sometimes i'll you sheepskin mitts ..i can't say that i have ever had one problem with my towels when using ONR..

Try washing them by hand with neutral soap (bar soap). I use MF all the time with Megs UQD and they also get really stained but I wash them by hand and they are like new.
