ONR - Whats to dirty

I just got my first order of ONR in the other day and was thinking about trying it out on my truck before using it on an customer cars. The main reason I picked this up is to be able to do onsite details where water is not available.

But, just how dirty is too dirty to use ONR for the wash?

My truck sat in the darage for 2 weeks and is covered in dust and car hair. I was thinking that should be rinsed first before using the ONR for a wash but since I have not used it before wanted to get some of your thoughts.

Yes, rinse first. If it's too cold outside, open your garage door and use a leaf blower for the dust and cat hair. ONR is a great rinseless wash. Mix 6 oz. in a gallon of distilled water and put in a 32oz spray bottle, makes a great QD.

You will see it if it's too dirty. If it's just dirty, but more then just dysty, presoak with a QD mix - spray the whole car, then proceed to wash.

6 oz per gallon?! That's 12x too much. Optimum recomends 1 oz for 2 gallons ....

I think you would be fine for ONR. I have seen cars much dirtier than you describe washed with ONR and not a swirl on them. Use two buckets and grit guards if it makes you more comfortable.

The only thing that is making me wonder is the cat hair.

Couldn't agree more! Excellent QD. I have it mixed 8oz to a gallon of distilled water, and I'm using it as a cleaning QD and when mixed at that ratio, it seems to add some "POP". If it's throwing a little polymer protection on there... so much the better.

Great product... very versatile!
 
I do the same as everyone else. But put 6 ounce in a garden sprayer mix with a gallon.
