Pulled out a few quick detail products yesterday and went to work refreshing the appearance on my car. I was using Meg’s Quick Wax (great stuff), Meg’s Ultimate Protectant, and Meg’s Endurance Shine for the tires. Got done with one side of the car and started on the rear decklid. All of a sudden, the Meg’s Quick Wax was streaking horribly and my microfiber was grabbing pretty badly….and I couldn’t get the stuff to buff off. Problem was, it wasn’t the Quick Wax….I had accidentally grabbed the Endurance Tire Shine bottle and was detailing my decklid with it. Oooops !!!
It actually made me think back to something that happened when I was quite young. My dad worked for GM building Cadillacs his whole life. During his last ten years or so (before retiring) he was driving a new Cadillac every year. One day my younger brother and I thought we’d be good kids and clean up dad’s Cadillac for him. So, we went into the garage an unknowingly grabbed a can of rubbing compound. Dulled the he** out of the paint on that beautiful maroon Caddy. Fortunately, dad was a good sport about it and didn’t get too upset.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has done something like that though, right?
