Having a Thread Starter or OP designation on the post that the original poster of a thread replies to might be helpful to keep track of who asked a question or needed assistance - especially for multi-page threads.:dblthumb2:

I get what you're suggesting. For desktop version it could be useful with multiple page threads, but useless with mobile. It wouldn't show on apps like Tapatalk. All it shows is the user ID. You don't even see signatures on mobile.

Not a bad thought though.

I don't think that would work under every situation.

Examples:
-If Marco D'Inca, from RUPES, was the thread starter...
Should he be referred to as the MO, or even perhaps OM?

-Or should AGO forum member DaC be called a: CO, or OC...
whenever he starts a thread?

:dunno:

I'm not suggesting changing anybody name when they make post, It would just be at the bottom of there box on left hand side of the screen.. Just so we knew who the OP is once were in the thread

What he is suggesting is that it says thread starter under the person's avatar who started the thread. I'm on another forum with it and it's helpful.

This is what he wants and I like it too. It only shows up when you post to a thread that you started.

:iagree:

I like this idea. Another forum I'm a member of does this, and I find it very useful.

I don't find it that difficult the way it is now!

:)

Do you want a cookie or something?

Sometimes threads go on for pages until the OP responds, so this would just make it easier for some to identify when the OP has responded.

Personally, I read posts by avatar rather than username, so having "thread starter" is useful for identifying people without avatars.

^^^So you're the one that occasionally foments discord^^^

Now look who wants a cookie or something!! LOL

Like I said before:
I have no difficulty following any thread from it's concept
Until it reaches it's demise.

I shan't be held responsible for those that can't do the same.

It was only a suggestion, my intentions were not to start a debate.. Thanks for taking a look :dblthumb2:
