Operation Comfort - Lonesome Dove Ranch Trip

Mike,

Thank you for taking the time with these guys, they'll really appreciate it!

Post some photos when you can.

Thanks so much to you and AG for doing this. It's really great! Can't wait to see some pictures and hear some stories.

We are very proud to be a part of giving back to a great group of soldiers that gave more then just their time to us. Good luck Mike and I can't wait to see the photos. And thank you Max for making this happen, makes us all love working at Autogeek even more then we already do!

Welcome to south Texas and San Antonio. If you don't put on 5 pounds, you didn't do it right; BBQ & Tex-Mex.

I wish Rudy's BBQ would cater the GTG for free :) I'd detail the owners car just to make it happen!

Mike please convey to the service men and women how grateful we as Americans are for their sacrifice in defending the American Dream. God bless America and our troops!

AG is doing some truly inspirational stuff with the Vets. Thanks.

wish u guy can do it in NY tri-state area! o I can attend! 8)

I told Anthony & Ron to let me know if they needed something; and I actually have an "in" with the guys at Fatso's BBQ.

Just arrived back to our hotel after leaving the Lonesome Dove Ranch...

Enjoy yourself ........ lots of heroes there! :dblthumb2:

You can't not have a good time at the Automotivation facilities, the shop is set up for just about anything auto related including their own paint mixing room and paint booth.

When I arrived, one of the first guys I met was Rob and the the first thing he did was show me the hood he paint last night, it's black with 3 coats of clear and all set-up for the wetsanding portion of the class tomorrow.

(Pictures to come)

The 2 right things to say here after meeting these fine people are,

1) Their optimistic attitude is contagious

2) They help to remind me to be thankful for what I have, I don't take the blessings I've received in life for granted anyways after losing my own leg, but these folks just help to remind me to be thankful for everything I have including my health, family and of course... my career.

Thanks so much to you and AG for doing this. It's really great! Can't wait to see some pictures and hear some stories.

I have some great pictures to share just from "Set-up", and there will be plenty of action shots taken tomorrow.

Yeah... after losing 23 pounds in the last few months, I've found traveling to be way too easy to put it all back on... Last night we went to an awesome Mexican restaurant after our plane got in and tonight there's a dinner at a local favorite steak house.... all this means is back to the gym as soon as we get back to Stuart.

How about barbecue salads? :D

I have done this and so is Max, again... being there today drives home the point that freedom isn't free, it's worth fighting for...

We have a schedule to stick to throughout the day and evening but as soon as I can I'll get up some of the pictures we took today....

:)
