Opinion on these micro fibers

there are many threads discussing quality/price/comparison

stop asking, start searching

you'll find more information like that

+ google (not just a search engine, I'm using this as a number in this instance)

The Chemical Guys 12pack of yellow w/ black trim towels on the massive site that starts with 'Ama' are nice towels for the price. Pick up 1 or 2 of those packs and you'll be good to go

If you cant afford quality towels then the rest of the good stuff you bought is useless. If you scratch the clear wiping polish off then what good is the correction you just did?

I agree, those are good towels. I have the blue ones just like it. I usually do a waterless wash with the longer nap of those and then buff with a clean workhorse towel. I am in the process of converting to Cobra towels though, I just like them better and feel they are better quality.

Lol i can't afford high priced ones just dropped 400 on da polisher and my chemicals

Using inadequate mf's will at least give you more use for your polisher and chemicals:laughing:

Seriously, you don't need expensive towels for every step. My favorite "bang for the buck" towels are the rolled edge ones, but there are also others available at AG for less than five bucks each. Hate to say it here, but Amazon has some good deals on bulk packs of Meguiar's Supreme Shine towels also. Save the good ones for removing wax or polish and QD's or waterless washes and use your less expensive ones for all the preliminary steps. That way, you can keep your expenses controlled without compromising your results.

would you rub nylon on your Paint? Not me that's for sure!

there are plenty of towels out there that are safe for paint and they are reasonably priced.

Polyamide is the scientific term for Nylon.

An 80/20 microfiber towel=
80% polyester (a thermoplastic)/20% polyamide (nylon; nylon 6; nylon 6,6; etc.)

Lol, you must have missed the visitor in the bulk mf thread. His video says if it grabs your hands they are cheap Chinese junk.

Yeah and that "Visitor" (that has a You Tube channel) HAS NO CLUE what he's talking about!

Microfiber construction is what dictates whether or not it sticks to your hands, which has nothing to do with the country of origin!

I have 4 of the CG yellow ones mentioned here. They have sewn in tags, which is a ROYAL PITA!!!!! (Swapped 4 of my dirty ones (that we used on his car) with Mitch before I realized they had those darned tags.) IMHO the ones I have several hundred of are not only BETTER, but CHEAPER! :D
Of course I bought more than 10, but they are still cheaper.;)
