I've been seeing some jabs at CG on here, and I also know a lot of people like a lot of their products, myself included.

So whats up with the pokes at them?

I don't use them exclusively, but I'm happy with everything I have from them.

I've tried several of there products and been less than impressed.

There soaps are some of the best,

There polishes are mediocre , except for v36 that's a real gem and under rated , it has great cut great working time and finishes awesome.

There cleaners are good, most of them are a gimmick , but they have good stuff great stuff and bad, just like every company

I have V36 and V38 and I like them both. Their new car shine dressing smells great and I like that it is dry to touch, I'm not huge on shiny interiors though.

I've got a fair amount of their other products and have been happy, but I haven't tried a whole lot of products to compare against them.

V36 equipped with a cutting pad can really take out some nasty defects, of course as long as the cutting pad isn't micro maring, the v36 and the lake country orange pad is a awesome one step combo for production detailing.

I've also got 5 sets of the CG Hex Logic pads that I like, but again have nothing to compare them to.

I used an orange pad with V36 on my GF's horribly neglected blue honda and the results were great. Finished it up with V38 and HD Poxy.

Hex logic pads are more then capable to polish alot of guys use them on this forum , not like its a cheap pad, I'm pretty sure buff n shine makes them, dlc95 aka the pad king loves his hex logics, there a great combo for the Porter cable of gg6 polisher. So your fine with the pads.

There are better polishes tho. But for what your trying to do its fine.

V36 is a really good polish just to freshen up some paint. I love the work time and smell.

After a few more jobs I think I'll pick up a Flex or something.

Silk Shine is still my all time favorite interior dressing and I've tried a lot of others.

I like silk shine a lot too, my dad used all that dressing on tires, seriously spraying it all over the tire like armor all, lmao he seriously wasted my whole gallon.

Old timers can't teach them, new ways

I used Barebones last week and my wheel wells are still super clean and black and dry to touch.

I liked their 50/50,InnerClean and their leather products
I don't care for over the top advertising, I followed them on YouTube and was bombarded with notifications and emails. Imo their product line is over saturated,mf towels are just ok but hey it seems to work for them as just about every new member that joins AGO seems to talk about them.

I don't wanna call anyone out, and it hasn't been like crazy trash talking, just some small things like making fun of their videos.

^^ This. I've seen a couple jabs lately too. I use some of their stuff and am happy.

Overall the funniest is both Chem Bros. and some other "well known" details online go so very overboard and dramatic with their youtube videos that I have to LOL. 15 minutes and details upon details on how to clean emblems, 30 minutes on how to "properly" vacuum an interior....blah blah. Seriously funny stuff in some of the vids out there.

I've mostly stuck with Meguiars over the years, but recently when I got more serious about detailing I've started trying stuff from them, different Meguiars products, Optimum, HD, and Griot's.

I still need to get my hands on some WG products.

I do laugh at some of their videos. I was watching one about drying methods and had to shake my head when the guy was like, "and just like that it takes of any kind of water" or something to that effect. How many types of water does my drying towel need to be able to collect??
