I have a 2006 Tundra that has been outside it's whole life. I wish I had taken better care of it but it is what it is. What I would like to know is how to proceed.
I have a Porter Cable 7424XP that I plan to use on my other vehicles.
I have seen videos of work on "extremely oxidized" vehicles but nothing near this bad. They all start with a clay bar. I am thinking that this job will need much more than that.
I have an old Rockwell 7 inch disk sander model 4770, I hate to see what kind of damage I would do with this and a wool pad.
Wet sanding? If so where to start and what to watch out for.
Thanks in advance.
The Rockwell sander has a wire brush in the picture, I DO NOT intend to use a wire brush on my truck!
