Meh I have had several different tints in the last 10 years on different cars.
HOT is hot period with your car sitting in the sun for 8 hours. Ceramic or not it’s gonna be hot as heck when you go get in it. It’s like dust. Dust is everywhere and is gonna settle on your car regardless of LSP
It’s not a “conditioned space” while it’s just sitting there
Now while you are driving down the road with ac on. yes it rejects heat better, it really does, no denying that
Is it worth the $ ? guess depends how much you drive in the hot sunny weather
It is substantially more money around here anyways. If you just need two front windows done to match the remaining it’s not a huge extra cost. It’s when all 5/7 or so windows need done its gets pricey

I completely agree with this.

A few years back I was wowed with the little heat lamp demo that a popular tint shop did for me and I paid a premium for that fancy ceramic tint...
But I’ll never forget what my buddy said to me while I was driving that pearl white car to Las Vegas in the blazing sun.

I was trying to avoid turning the AC on because of the steady climb in elevation towards Vegas and the many warning signs posted along the road. Finally my buddy couldn’t take it no more and said hey man does the AC work or what? I told him that the tint I had installed blocks the heat and he quickly replied BULL****! It’s hot as hell in here turn the AC on!

Today I had my 2 front windows tinted for $60 bucks cash.

And when I told the guy that I removed my previous tint and it left absolutely no adhesive residue on my windows the 1st thing he said was “cheap tint”
Now I’ve got a minor dilemma... It doesn’t greatly bother me at the moment but I am considering having him do the rest of my windows. Check it out.

I noticed it immediately and when I asked him why it looked so different he told me what I should’ve already known... “That cheap tint turned purple”
From the outside it all looks the same.

But with his prices and good honest service I’ll probably be going back and having him do the rest of the windows soon. And for nowhere near $300 bucks or even more that some places try to charge for tinted windows.
