Opti-coat 2.0 or no Opti-coat.

I have been reading about all the diff coating ; has somebody tried opticoat , pinnacle black label and gtech evo v2??

Have you worked with OC before? NO

Yes, OC may be good for you. You just have to make sure you prep the car correctly or it will not last or bead well. The correct prep for OC 2.0 is to polish/clean the paint with any Optimum polish and then wipe the finish down with IPA ~20% or DI water.

The application can be a little tricky, as you really need to have excellent lighting to see all the high spots fairly quickly. Sometimes, the high spots can be almost impossible to see inside under "normal" room lighting. Looking at the car outside in the sun is really best.

The OC should benefit you, as less direct sticks to it, so more dirt will just rinse off - theoretically meaning you will be washing a cleaner car, so less chance of marring. OC'ing a Jet Black BMW may not be the easiest job to do though.
